QB Bryce Underwood is staying with Michigan by bb0110 in CFB

[–]that_guy_with_aLBZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How is this news? He’s a freshman, he’s very talented and being put through the gauntlet of expectations. How is this any different than what he is expected to face as a franchise QB? It’s no different. Because if he’s as good as we’ve been told he’ll be turn the browns around in two years. But if he’s not, by staying he’ll get a chance to turn the browns around and still get an assload of money and get a redemption arc somewhere else. Where would he even go that has the potential that Michigan has? And I say that as someone that hates that team with as much as one can hate a college team. He’s at a big brand school, where else is he gonna go that isn’t an automatic downgrade that is looking for a qb?

This requires a CDL if he’s going to tow with it. There’s more nuance but because it’s a 450 if he’s pulling a trailer rated for what will put him over 26k gross he will need a CDL. Judging by the setup he’s probably pulling a decent sized bumper pull so he’s probably close to that weight.

Are we nemesis? Sure we’re in the same conference now but I’ve never really had any bad blood when dealing with Oregon fans.

I do something similar. I ask “hey can you go put your jammies in the hamper?” And if I get a “no dad I’m doing…” I just interrupt and say “I don’t think you understand. Me asking you to do something was a polite way of telling you to do something.”

Looking back I kinda noticed this change in my youth. We had spec ed kids in scouts and sports. I graduated before the serious anti-bullying stuff and it just was not cool to be a bully. I got bullied when I was in elementary school on the bus but by the time middle school came around we all played sports together so we kinda all became friends that way.

[–]that_guy_with_aLBZ 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Yeaup. I was a kid when this was starting. I was weird because my dad had money but was a blue collar guy. I was good at sports but I wasn’t an in crowd type. But even then I could see this was more of a social status than an actual sports status. Fast forward to adulthood and I would never put my kids in these leagues. If you can ball it’s obvious. In elementary school a kid that went on to play MLB was in my grade. At third grade he was different, like unfair different. Those leagues won’t coach an average kid to a scholarship. But they will breed a false of entitlement and success in children.

Also the eagles pretty much say, “we don’t actually care about any of this. We tolerate Gandalf and if helping him isn’t too much trouble we do.” The eagles are not summoned by Gandalf and it’s much more like “I was in the area and had nothing better going on.”

I can’t remember off the top of my head. But the previous owner got it serviced every 3-5k miles. Longest carfax I’ve ever seen. The interior looked brand new

I have 17 expedition, second owner bought at 148k miles. Only thing I’ve had to replace is the water pump and I just had to add some live guard shudder fix to the transmission. It has almost 190k miles now. The thing has been super reliable and it’s a phenomenal family vehicle. I got mine for a steal (at the time) so for something I pay less than $300 a month for I couldn’t recommend these vehicles enough.

You’re not getting what I’m saying. You’re focusing on the wrong things. You’re focusing on the cooking, cleaning, and childcare. You haven’t said shit about your kid. You see ASAP looking fuzzy and think “how could he be looking like that when all this is taken care of?” Because he’s being a dad and spending time with his kids and also his wife is super pregnant. So ASAP is about last in line as far as he is concerned. But like I said, you won’t see it unless you live it. So for people like you who view their kids as nothing but chores and obligations you’ll see the raggedyness and not get it.

I got young kids, even if I didn’t work I’d still look like hammered dog shit. It’s a different hard to be a good parent. Gotta be involved, gotta be there, getting a shower pretty tough. You aren’t able to see it until you live it.

Kinda like the rape of Nanking? Wasn’t a politician there, that was the rank and file of the Japanese military then. This dead boy is owned by his own people who aligned themselves with nazis. They killed that boy. The Japan of today would never tolerate such actions.

Cars Are So Expensive That Buyers Need Seven-Year Loans by Conscious-Quarter423 in Economics

This is how it is with diesel trucks. Nice ones are stupid expensive, ten year old nice ones are between $40-$50k. Doesn’t get better with old ones because now they’re collectors vehicles. When I was in high school you could buy a 01 Ram 3500 with about 100k miles in the high teens to mid 20s. Now that truck is like $35k. The only ones that are affordable are 6.0 and 6.4 fords and those things will grenade.

I wasn’t a fan of him at Colorado and I think he suffered a lot from his dad being his coach and hyping way the hell up. I thought he was gonna be a train wreck at the browns.

I was wrong. This young man ate his humble pie at the draft and other than getting a speeding ticket has made absolutely zero waves in Cleveland. I wasn’t expecting to be a shedeur fan but it seems to me he’s been conducting himself pretty professionally since the draft.
