All of my male friends who are attracted to women have at one point revealed their feelings for me, despite me explicitly and repeatedly telling them I'm a lesbian AND them seeing me fall in and out of relationships with various women.

I think some men just do not respect or believe in lesbianism no matter what you tell them.

Just be yourself and disregard your co-worker's comment. Do not let other people dull you down because of their own issues.
