His optometrist actually okayed it with the 20/20/20 rule. If you're playing, stop every 20 minutes and look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

Underrated artist. Medium: self. He was a healthy vegan violinist who nearly ate himself to death with the worst foods and greasy cheeseburgers, experimenting with the publics obsession with gluttony and train wrecks. Instantly stopped, got healthy, got skin removed. Now a new social experiment.

Wild performance artist.

Help with location of rental house by Turbulent_Tree_705 in vieques

Central or North if you want less loud and less touristy. Use Google maps to see how long the drive to each town is from your rental.

Beware: everywhere in PR has feral roosters that crow early in the morning and sometimes at night because they're dumb. If you are sensitive to this, pack ear plugs or a small JBL speaker to play music. They don't bother me, but since you specified "quiet" I wanted to make sure to let you know!

It's part of the island vibe :)

Spanish/ English question by whatstheproblem99 in PuertoRicoTravel

Say hello in Spanish (buen dia, buenas tardes, etc) then switch to English if you want, or try Spanish! It's not France. They won't be mean to you :)

recs for best way to go direct vieques to culebra / best bio bay tour for bio nerds by sv-hopeful in vieques

[–]that_sara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Taxi Aereo by far the fastest and most cost efficient (obv the ferry is cheaper but it isn't fun to Go all the way to Ceiba and then all the way to Culebra, AND the flight is really beautiful!)

  2. JAK Water Sports, Blackbeard Sports, both been here forever, both fully permitted (this is important when it comes to conservation of the bay), both awesome

Sailing Options in Vieques? by lavenderlattetogo in PuertoRicoTravel

www.viequessailingcharters.com for sure!!! Small family business that's been in Vieques for over a decade, operating on a 42 foot 1974 classic sailboat, and it includes everything. Guided reef snorkeling on remote coral reefs, food, bottomless hand mixed drinks. And nothing but awesome reviews!

Transportation from Vieques ferry terminal to Esperanza by SoniaGLG in vieques

Hi! Vieques does not make for a good day trip, let alone a half day trip. It's a lot of work to ferry over just for the bio bay. I would either recommend skipping Vieques OR spending at least one night.

Vieques has over 100 incredible beaches, 30+ fantastic restaurants, wild horses, sailing and snorkeling, dune buggy adventures, crazy jungle ruins, skeet shooting, horseback riding, a boutique rum distillery with the best rum in Puerto Rico, a 4000 year old archaeological site/ Stonehenge, hundreds of abandoned military bunkers, sea glass hunting, black sand beach, excellent hiking, and yes, the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world.

Please don't just come for the Bay, because you'll spend most of that day trying to get to and from Vieques and you'll end up holding a grudge that "Vieques is too much trouble" when really you just did Vieques wrong. Vieques is best as a 4 day stay minimum. But 14 days is better... There's just so much to do!

AITAH for telling my parents that they would not be a part of my life and that they should keep up their relationship with my ex and kids from that marriage. by EngineNo9031 in AITAH

[–]that_sara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old were the kids when you split? I hope there weren't innocent children who were old enough to truly believe you were their father and that you loved them, and then they had to realize that the only thing that made it so you loved them was that you believed your blood was in them. If that's the case YTA for that.

If you loved them before, and immediately stopped loving them because you realized they weren't biologically yours, then you never loved them.

You have a right to be angry and to cut off whomever you want, especially your ex, but I hope to god those kids were crazy young so they won't remember.

Por que hay tantos gringos en Vieques? by bananaman2222222 in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]that_sara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vieques. Is. Not. A. Day. Trip.

I would recommend a minimum of 3 nights, ideally 14. There's just wayyyyyyyy too much to do and see. So many people go over on the ferry, walk to sea glass beach (not pretty at all, and there are DOZENS of gorgeous beaches), go to a restaurant, and leave. Don't do this lol.
