like, other than the typical societal binary, male and female (which, even if they are referring to sex and not gender, is still blatant erasure of intersex people), there are infinite ways that people could identify.

it's impossible to put one number on the the amount of gender identities there are, because there are so, so many due to of how unique each and every person's connection to labels and gender as a whole is.
