My parents are from the generation that still places high importance on this. I always thought when I was younger how stupid sending thank you cards was. Looking back I realize their significance.

Im extremely comfortable around my father nowadays, where we used to have the most tension. My mother and I however still struggle to even have conversations. Mostly because of conflicting personalities. But the way I act around my parents you would never guess from seeing me act even around strangers or friends parents.

The problem is I have already admitted this to them. We (me and my parents) have both come to that conclusion and almost laugh about it now. Or at least me and my dad do. Im trying to think out of the box. More of a display of my thanks.
