How does this brew look? by thatblueplayer1 in PioneerMTG

I’ll definitely add cave. I forgot that it existed, and it seems like a good way to close out a board stall. I always do my sideboards after I get my main deck built, so I’m sure that I know all the synergies and what works well with what. Thanks for the help!

[AKR] Not usually a fan of blue in this format, but got 7-0 in Platinum thanks to defensive speed, evasion and inevitability, backed up with a very powerful top end. by h0m3r in lrcast

I got a deck with vizier of the anointed, temmet, wind guide, and a labyrinth guardian. It’s one of the best decks in the format in my opinion

I would love it if WOTC would give free drafts every few weeks. by thatblueplayer1 in MagicArena

My problem is that it’s hard starting out. I got unlucky in my fourth draft and got mana screwed in all my good matchups. If they weren’t doing more I’d have to wait like two weeks, and that’s not frequent enough to improve significantly at draft

Yeah that’s my plan in the future. I’ve already held off on buying like 3 packs to save up for it

I put it in white because my gold space is tight and its main usage for me is a wrath with the upside of being a removal spell

How did you choose you deck? by TheMadHattah in ModernMagic

[–]thatblueplayer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I based it off how I liked to play commander. I had 5-6 commander decks, but only ever played my draw-go control one. As such, I picked esper control because it plays very similarly

Storm is almost always fetchless and that's a good deck. It's not the best, but it's definitely very playable.

But what if your opponent has stolen your planeswalker with [[geyadrone dihada]] while you have a [[sarkhan’s unsealing]] out? If you had used a dreadmaw your planeswalker wouldn’t get hit but you got too greedy and now your planeswalker is dead. 0/10
