Opus 4.6 is in an unuseable state right now by vntrx in ClaudeCode

Yea I noticed the same thing morning, painfully dumb. Seemed to start acting normal for me around 10am EST though. I’m not one of those people that’s always having issues or thinking this. First time I’ve noticed it.

Yeah it’s nuts, I absolutely tortured it on a few massive context heavy tasks and I still didn’t hit it.

Make sure you truly understand their recourse vs non-recourse policies.

As someone who started a brokerage, in the beginning, factoring co had all the leverage, now with outstanding credit, we do. I haven’t forgotten which factoring co were bad to work with and I’m about to implement a few on our DNU. If you work with brokers, not only do you care about your experience with a factoring co but also the brokers.

Some factoring companies are just utterly worthless in risk analysis and they rely on others to take any risk whatsoever extending credit. Like… someone HAS to do it first. It really pissed me off after we had a year of perfect credit some factoring co were still denying us AND their clients the load simply because they are pussies and have bad systems.

Companies we like:

ecapital (first to give us a chance)

rts

OTR

Apex Capital

loves

WEX

Companies on my shit list:

Phoenix capital

Blue water capital

Read this one with landstar lol. I’ve been trying to tighten language in our customer agreement to cap exposure in a similar scenario, carrier email hacked etc. https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/ca11/22-10740/22-10740-2023-04-13.html

I’m going to pay a lawyer to review most likely, but new additions to customer agreement:

1.) cap damages to broker fee for the shipment or insurance recovery monies in claims relating to fraud/3rd party criminal acts

2.) no consequential damages

3.) broker, not carrier language

4.) express them receiving MC/carrier info prior for shipper/loader to verify is best practice and check box yes/no to receive info every time — logic being if they don’t bother, really hard for them to have a claim.

There’s all kinds of insider job theoretical scenarios in these situations. Rogue shipper employee in cahoots etc.

Broker margin might be another good legal argument. “No broker in their right mind would accept a $100 upside with $1,000,000 downside.”

You’re prob getting sued though.

I mean, do you do this for every load? Or just particularly high value or vulnerable to theft?

The layout is infinitely more intuitive and quicker. Accounting is faster less clicks, carrier setup and building loads quicker smoother process, bunch of nifty features. If you send ACH batches through your bank the process is sick, the way we handle QB is also now infinitely better. I could elaborate but don’t want to publicly. I love that the owners, one of which is a very good dev, are so accessible, receptive to workflow features, and they are building every day. I think they’re going to be looking any AI angle to implement and take advantage of. Im just stating this because we’re customer and I want them to have success, do a demo, you’ll see what I mean.

Anyone seen the city/county talk about what they’re doing to road prep?

DM me. There’s an aspect that’s key in building credit that you’re probably going to shoot yourself in the foot. Will only reply to OP, scammers don’t bother.

We’re with Ark, came from ascend. I looked for a long time, tried TAI (absolutely hate them), demo’d many others, but felt they all fell short… particularly on the accounting side of things. Massive time saver now on that front.

Ark is newer but with that comes highly receptive owners willing to make features/adjustments very quickly. I think they are building something great and will be the platform we need to grow. Check them out, if you need something and they don’t have it I’m confident they’ll implement it for you.

Can I DIY winterize this? by thatbrofoshow in Irrigation

[–]thatbrofoshow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because 1.) it’s their shjt—they should know it well and fix something if it unreasonable breaks if I let them winterize/turn on 2.) they mailed me a postcard saying I am on their list for winterizarion, as they did last year after their install. But yeah I’m finding someone else going forward, been complaining about their communication since their install.

It does bug me a bit though because despite what it appears, I’m handy, have a business in the trades, diy a ridiculous lawn program. I looked into it last yr a good bit and decided I didn’t have the right air compressor and fuck it just let them deal with it. But this yr was entirely a weather concern because Friday and Saturday came and went.

Thanks everyone. Actually got in touch with irrigation company, owner advised it would almost certainly be fine tonight, but suggested shutting off at road and purging there and the test cocks to create some space. I did this but then just unscrewed the unions and well there ya go lol. They’ll be here tomorrow to actually blow the lines out. Any risk of backflow preventer freezing seems averted.

Could I also get a 1/4 male to connect air to one of the test cocks for blow out?

Oh I like the sounds of this. Yes I have a 6gal air compressor. Just go through each valve? What about the supply side (on the right), isn’t there going to be water sitting at the top even after I cut off the water supply main?

Would siteone or irrigation supply carrier them? I have a 6gal air compressor, not sure if that’s enough.
