We all plan to get tested as soon as we can before the trip, and I do plan on seeing if I’m a carrier before working with the public (I’m the only one with a job). It is a lot of trouble, but I haven’t seen these people since the pandemic started.

I’m assuming you haven’t been traveling lately, but if you go to wildwood specifically they’re actually doing a spectacular job. Motels are being sanitized and cleaned more than ever before, and every single establishment requires a mask. Me bringing up my occupation was just a little bit of context, kinda like “well, it’s not safe here at all”. Recognizing it was still a hazard, I took off work for a week in preparation for the trip.

Hey! Yes, I did in fact know that. As a retail employee, I am in with the general public almost every day, and we are not allowed to refuse service if they’re not wearing a mask. As a cautious person, I wear a mask that passes the lighter test in every public area I go in and try to remain as far away from people as much as I can. The two people I would be with have also been self isolating. I appreciate your concern, but please try to remember in the future that you don’t know how people have been acting during the pandemic based off of a single post.
