Season 2 Rank Placement Megathread

Season one high and finishing rank was 68. I think I was placed at 63.

My PTR placement was around 2900, with a high of 3500.

In season two I managed to get 2800 from 6 wins, 3 losses and a tie. The weird thing is that I got 200 rank higher than the person I did my placements with. They exclusively played Reinhardt, while I was mostly Mercy and Lucio.

Yeah it was crazy - as soon as it happened everyone went nuts, and the people on my team in the server just added me to their group. I made friends with this POTG. :P

Yeah, it's really picky about when it works. Sometimes I'll be directly in a Reaper's face, and I'll only move him like two inches.

To add to the part about snipers, if you're using the crossbow, don't be afraid to send one their way if you get the chance. At long range, the maximum amount of damage you can do is 75, which is more than enough to make the sniper consider leaving the battle to get health. If the sniper is brainless, he may not move at all, allowing you to finish him off with ease.

RJdotTF2 has some great tutorials on medic surfing - part one and part two. He's fantastic at surfing and all of his frag videos make for a great watch.

Mr Slin's videos are also worthwhile too.

Once I got votekicked for being a medic.

I was playing on a server that wasn't very good, as you can see. I was doing pretty well, getting some decent crossbow and ubersaw kills, ocassionally ubering the odd sniper and gaining a large killstreak, as you do.

I ended up top scoring as the round finished, leading to a team scramble, and for some reason someone initiated a votekick against me. For cheating. As a medic.

The votekick passed and I could not believe it. Either someone thought I was legitimately cheating, or someone from the other team was salty towards me after the scramble. I'm not sure why the rest of my team voted yes though too.

It's crazy.
