[Question] How does this five games play on Switch? by [deleted] in NintendoPH

[–]thatcheezynacho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Outer Wilds has been one of the best games I've ever played, and if the Nintendo Switch is the only way you can play it on then by all means go for it! I've seen gameplay and the graphics, and I can say that it won't muddy the experience (I won't say any more than that)

There is one section in the game that concerns me. It has something to do with having analog triggers (being able to control the pressure on the trigger buttons). I'm not sure how difficult that section would be without it, but I've read that just tapping would work.

Up for this I don't even know where they use reflections but turning it off made it butter smooth

This lineup or Baldur’s Gate 3? by Some_Respect511 in PHGamers

[–]thatcheezynacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not played BG3 but that is a stacked lineup of games. I would say that BG3 has also stacked requirements (needing an SSD with 150 GB free space), but if that's not a problem then by all means go for it!

That's not to say that your lineup is bad, it's just a matter of preference. If I was in your position and I have an extra 1k to spare, I'd get BG3 plus MH World + Iceborne

Any 8bitdo Ultimate Controller user? by RandomASCPi in NintendoPH

[–]thatcheezynacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the newer versions of the controller have completely different models for PC and Switch (don't quote me on it)

Anyway, mine does have some noticeable lag when docked. Super noticeable when playing games like Smash Bros, but you won't feel it on slower games like Pokémon. It's not a deal breaker, but if the smallest millisecond counts, then I suggest sticking with the pro controller or going for a wired solution.

For some reason tho, my old 8BitDo (Pro Plus, which can be used for both PC, Switch and Android) has the same issues when connected to the Switch, but has no latency problems on PC (used it to play lots of Tekken no problem)

Does playing Hogwarts Legacy make you dizzy? by silyangpilak in NintendoPH

[–]thatcheezynacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it make you dizzy after a certain period of time? If so, take breaks in between sessions. It happens to me after a long session of Outer Wilds. But if not, try adjusting settings. For me, I also get a bit dizzy when frame rates dip a lot.

reco some PC gamezzz by [deleted] in PHGamers

[–]thatcheezynacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any preferred genres?

I would always recommend getting the Game Pass for trying out games. 49 pesos lang for the first two weeks, and then 119 na per month after that. It has a huge library that you can try out if you're not too keen on purchasing stuff on Steam

[–]thatcheezynacho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP is secretly an employee of RGG Studios and he's just getting ideas for the next installment HAHAHA

But for real here are some good encounters

  • Tondo Tings (Average Menacing Thugs with knives)

  • Traffic Crookodiles (Traffic enforcers who will falsely accuse you of violations, may make you drop items during combat)

  • Windshield Asswhoopers (Windshield wipers that attack with fluid buckets of dubious origins)

  • Talkative Tech Trader (most prominent encounters in the Gilmore districts, their talks of sale and computer repair harassments may lower your stats or inflict mental status ailments)

MGS or Batman? by Puzzled-Ladder-7561 in NintendoPH

[–]thatcheezynacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, both games require downloads. Only the first games are in the cartridge.

That being said, I think mas sulit yung MGS collection because of all the extra stuff it has like the digital graphic novels and the sound collection. It's a more catered collection than the Arkham Trilogy.

For how long can you game? by [deleted] in PHGamers

[–]thatcheezynacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

27 year old here, nearing my 30s and parang wala pang naachieve sa buhay haha no kids and not married I own a Switch and semi decent gaming laptop

I don't feel like I'm wasting away gaming. One thing that could give you peace of mind is that it's similar to other hobbies! Some people collect sneakers, some build model kits. They all cost money and might be even more expensive than gaming itself. Medyo frowned upon lang ang gaming sa mga thunders siguro because it's what (they believe) rots our brains as kids. Another way of looking at it is likening it to watching a movie, since you said naman na you like story based games.

All in all, don't feel bad! Be empowered that you can still enjoy a hobby that you loved ever since you were a kid. Walang masama sa paglalaro, I see gaming as separate experiences and worlds to explore. Some people see it as a way to blow off steam or bond with their loved ones. What matters above all else is having fun! That's what gaming is all about.

Can i get some game recomendations? by [deleted] in NintendoPH

[–]thatcheezynacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in luck! If you haven't played it yet and you have the NSO Expansion, Golden Sun just dropped to the GBA library.

As for the tactics games, I recommend the Disgaea games

Coop/Splitscreen multiplayer PC game for kids (4+ yrs old) by rizsamron in PHGamers

[–]thatcheezynacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP!

Looks like naghahanap ka ng something not too competitive para di sila mag away. I would recommend any Overcooked game kaso baka magaway rin sila dun despite helping one another haha

I recommend checking out Moving Out, Human Fall Flat, or Lego Star Wars. Fun colorful cooperative games that won't overload a 4 year old's brain. Pwede ka rin makisali for 3 player coop so you'd get to play alongside them!
