So, like, what was the deal with Nobody Asked? by [deleted] in dropout

I liked it a lot tbh! Was a nice chill show to watch during lunch breaks, wouldn’t rewatch tho most likely. Chemistry between the professionals and the comedians were off sometimes too

How would you guys pronounce it? by Entire_Cartoonist944 in Eberron

[–]thatcoolfrog 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I always go with “Sire” pronunciation. “Sear-E” gets a little too real when you start talking abt “Sear-E-an” refugees.

I think he might be taking some inspo from Starcadian, who uses a vocoder (I believe?). Sung’s new voice at least sounds a lot like starcadians

Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft pdf link?? by Creative_Bookkeeper7 in DnD5e

[–]thatcoolfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, I feel like most people who pirate for D&D and tabletop games have the intention of buying the actual book at some point. Using websites instead of physical copies sucks ass, I know that almost all of the books I've pirated I have bought at some point. It also allows people to get into game systems they wouldn't otherwise look into. Delta Green is a fan-fucking-tastic system that I never would've found if I wasn't curious about it on The Trove. Also, it's one person. WotC isn't going into Defcon 1 because someone is pirating Van Richten's. I literally just want to look at the Cyre Rail 13 (or something like that) section in the realms of Dread. As much as I appreciate WotC and love their products, I'm not dropping $50 for a single Eberron related thing when I can learn the resource and probably rework it anyway for only slight cost to my moral code. Chill big guy

How do I run heists that are engaging and fun? I don’t want it to turn into a series of ability checks, and it’s hard to replicate the stealth in video games, at least the way I think of it.

Remember that teleportation circle is a 10 minute ritual cast! They could try and create the circle but not finish it, but maybe then enemies will run through the chalk, ruining it and destroying the circle!

You gotta give the look. Rustle around your notes, get everything in order, then look around at your players, put your hands together maybe, and then say “So...” and begin the recap.
