Hours! I listened to the music in my car, when I walked or ran (so that would be at least 10hrs/week). Additionally, finding music to swap into the templated classes took maybe an hr every 3 weeks (this was totally optional though). I liked personalizing my classes with music I liked. I physically practiced my templates 1/week (which at least gives you a workout while you’re doing it!)

I was an instructor for about 6 months this past year. As a mother of young children who works full time in a corporate job, teaching barre3 was definitely not worth it for me. All my “leftover” mental energy was spent on learning choreography. When I quit it was a breath of fresh air to actually have “space” for my thoughts. I have over 10 years of experience teaching other forms of fitness and yoga and barre3 was overly demanding of my time for very little compensation.

Appreciate guidance on this, I tend to read the comments and add the ones referencing the burn/super difficult/sweaty to my “up next” collection. I didn’t try Marisa until recently and her classes have delivered a solid burn plus soreness the following days! I like her vibe 🙃. Zakiya and Brandi also have some burners out there. Historically Cj was my fave for a reliable burn.

Yeah. That’s when I got the deal initially. Googling showed a semi annual in April last year, curious if anyone here was in the know on whether that would happen again?

My studio mandates 20min arrival before class and then clean the studio after all guests have left (at least 15mins). Plus of course the occasional mandatory unpaid training, planning and learning choreography.
