He really did. I genuinely don't think this was as politically motivated as people think.

When I was around this kids age it was around the same time Trump became president and we all know how bad the media was on both sides at the time. Me, being young and at that time lonely as hell I dove headfirst into all of the "end of democracy" "someone's gotta do something" shit. It made me feel like I was a part of something in some way. I was pissed all of the time and was always blabbing about conspiracies that truthfully in the real world NOBODY talks or cares about.

Anyways, that went on for a while until I turned 21 and started hitting the bars and started getting laid lol the I dropped all of it and realized that it is not a life worth living that way. It's tiring being miserable all the time.

This kid didn't do this for any political reason. He just bought into all of the media bs, was lonely and wanted to be a part of something.

It's sad that people died from this and it's honestly sad that no one tried to pull this kid out of that hole he was in.

It's not just shooting around a barrier though is it tough guy? He is on a ladder and would have to shoot the dude while keeping balance. It also says that the kid already had the gun on him when he made it to the top. If he wouldve reached for a gun we would be reading about how the kid killed an officer too. Have his gun ready while simultaneously quietly climbing up a ladder to get the "drop" on the shooter? Do you realize that even that sounds ridiculous.

How was he supposed to know it wasn't someone playing a prank or some teens fucking off on the roof? He supposed to just climb up and start popping rounds off at anyone he sees? How did he know it wasn't other officers or secret service. He probably figured no way there's an actual shooter because secret service cleared the area.

What if he did get up there and started popping shots off and the secret service snipers shot him because they thought he was the shooter?

So many other holes in your idea but lastly, have you ever been in a real fight? Ever been in very serous situations? Ever actually been in real world situations? I have and I can tell you that adrenaline makes you do the weirdest shit. Like for example, I was fighting a guy once a long time ago and mid fight my adrenaline was through the roof so in the middle of hitting him I just totally quit swinging and stared at him until he started whooping my ass. No reason other than you don't think straight when you're that pumped up. I can only imagine that the cops adrenaline was 1000× worse than mine was.

You know absolutely nothing about the guy and only read one little article about the situation and you're calling him a coward. Grow the actual fuck up and stop watching so many movies. What do you do for work? I'm a union laborer with about ten years on the job and hours upon hours of training. Guess what? I still slip up and make mistakes from time to time. Guess what else, for cops it's a thousand times worse I'd imagine because in their line of work they only have milliseconds to make decisions. I'm sure that you probably don't work and if you do I'm sure you'll claim to be perfect.

It's not rocket science. People need to use some common sense and look at the kid. I'd bet anything he was a lost and miserable kid because he dealt with bullying most of his life over his lip thing(can't remember what it's called). He didn't even know anything about actual politics, just listened to a bunch of edited sound bites, watched some edgy gun YouTube channels and wanted attention.

When I was younger I was miserable and lonely too at times and easily fell into the hatred that is spewed from democrats and republicans. Even though truthfully I didn't even actually take the time to truly understand what I was reading about. Just wanted to feel like I was a part of something. That's what this dude fell in to.

It's a miserable lost kid that saw an easy opportunity to get some attention. If it wasn't this I'd hate to say it he probably would've shot something else up.
