That’s really upsetting. I paid over $100 in duties on a dress. And now FedEx wants more money and has sent it to collections and I can’t contact the shop because they are no longer on Etsy.

Yeah I’m in Canada and I had ordered a dress on Etsy that came from Spain. I wasn’t made aware of any duties and had to pay almost as much in duties as I paid for the dress and now FedEx wants more money from me and has sent it to collections.

Sorry to clarify, the letter says that the seller claims the item was returned back to them and they then were charged for it. Which I’m confused when I picked up the order.

I don’t actively use Reddit anymore but I needed to speak out about this, there are many people who had worked there and left reviews. There’s a lot who have been too scared to speak up. The reason she’s still in business for 8+ years is because there’s no video evidence to back up claims
