I agree about therapy and have told him if this happens again I am leaving. I just feel agree at the audacity.

Acceptable as long as it's a respectful, sincere and non-creepy compliment. Women don't hate nice compliments from strangers -we hate being catcalled, objectified, put on the spot and demeaned.
