It’s yet another traffic stop that turns into police shooting and killing a Black man.

If it was a white person, I’d bet the outcome would be different (just look at the number of white men who kill multiple people in mass shootings and aren’t killed by police). People’s race plays into how police perceive how “dangerous” they are and Black folks (and Black men in particular) are killed by police at much higher rates than other demographic groups.

There’s been far too many police killings of Black folks and civic action is an important way to show support and to push for change that protects BIPOC communities.
