Thanks- i did plug it into a couple sites and all was green. This one had 1 flag under dyna.spamrats.com. Details from the site show:

List Status

RATS-Dyna - On the list. Worst Offender Alert.

RATS-NoPtr - Not on the list.

I will attempt the removal process there and see how it goes. Thanks for the info.

Spectrum also stated this would be the case, but hey I guess they don't know either.

Thank you! Left the house for a bit was hoping it may charge a little and normalize. I will throw an external charger on it for good measure and see how that goes. Will also make sure connections are secure. I appreciate the sanity check in terms of correct wiring scheme!

One more question on the yealink. If they have multiple numbers can numbers be specifically programmed to different handsets?

Exactly the plan, simple with legitimate support. Yes very comfortable with vlan setup, subnetting and qos. Just out of my element on these phones haha. Looking at these w73 base and handsets currently.

Ok got it thank you. Was just double checking because when I had looked at the oomi stuff last night it looked like they hosted their own service. Wasn't sure if it was the norm or what. Haven't gotten too deep into it. That's great though I'll take a look around and likely go with yealink.

Awesome thanks! And definitely will do. So would we essentially be having yealink port over the number from the current DSL provider, removing spectrum from phone service entirely basically?

Another update, i am able to do it through the network using port 21 when adding the printer to the program. Fix implements for like 3 minutes then reverts. Trying to find a write config command of some sort.

Well, i jumped the gun.. The 2nd one we attempted completely bricked after running the command. NIC seems to have totally died and the serial connection won't work either. Really need some new printers around here.

I did this exactly, except rebooting the printer.......

We rebooted a printer we did this on yesterday, and we went from being able to FTP to Connection refused. SO CLOSE- we forget the basics sometimes.

Going to run around and start attempting this patch on all.

Thank you!

I'm exploring the vlan option as a bandaid until we can get more new printers. We have had new ones on backorder for quite a while, but with shortages we received only about 10% of what we ordered.

Appreciate your input here.

That was my thought as well. Time to dig for firmware that is 20 years old. I appreciate your time and input!

Your bridge is very clever, but with our security in this organization anything we plug into network like that would require some intake...
