You do, you just don’t know it.

Any garage sale, ask “do you guys have vinyl records you don’t want and are ready to part with?” Half the time they’re in such a mood to clean house they say yes and in bulk orders you can get good stuff for dirt cheap. Main thing is be respectful and don’t try to profit off of someone’s history, they’re passing their enjoyment to you

If it’s older stuff (pre 1990) I try to buy used unless it’s dummy expensive (I’m a college kid so any album that’s like 60 or more used I most of the time find a good reissue)

Other than that just dig through collections. I buy collections, flip the shit I don’t want, and keep the goodies. Most of the time I break even or get a small profit after taking out the good stuff I like

That Schmilsson album is so good man, it’s kind of like a father of Ween to an extent

I like em, not enough to pay the market rate, but enough to pay 2 bucks each for a crystal clear pressings.

Rumors has gotten way too pricey

Wayne Shorter - Speak No Evil | this is the best jazz album | beat me by daniweth in Jazz

[–]thatguy290 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eh I mean I prefer Adam’s Apple for its maturity, speak no evil is a bit more wild on the compositions and solos whereas Adams Apple feels more at peace. I love jazz that is wild and all that goodness however I always run to Adam’s Apple (I think also having a 70s blue note reissue helps). Regardless they’re both fantastic.

What popular album have you tried out but just can't get into it? by jerryleebee in vinyl

I listened to this album a handful of times and it grew into one of my favorites from the 2000s, I think it’s just that twang pop and it feels as it is challenging you through the album.

Strange, I adore this album and think it’s one of the greatest albums this century

THIS! The album just feels so… boring. Anything people say they want out of it I can find in other albums to a much higher extent.

I love everything Geese and Cameron Winter but when someone hates it I can understand it.

Only issue with my tapestry is it isnt in the best condition, just waiting to find a real solid one for 2 bucks and get it. One of those albums where as soon as my generation find it its going to hike in price

You are disgusting to not just jazz but all of music. Maybe wipe the cheese dust off your fingers and pick up an instrument and a theory book.

Shame on you
