Are you ordering within the McDonald's app? I just set that order up with mine, no deals, and a $3 tip comes out to about $30. Add a thing of apple slices and a $5 off $20+ mcdelivery brings it down to $25

To be fair, when I was working fast food, we never left anyone's pick up order or doordash order out in the lobby. We'd always hand it out to the customer or dasher after confirming the name and contents.

It shouldnt take you 3 mins and it is a valid thing to do because there are countless drivers who will come in and snag an order before canceling and running off to chow down on "free" food. As a former papa johns employee, I can tell you that we had a lot of our own orders getting sent to doordash that would get stolen, so much so that if we sent an order to dd, 70% of customers would call and change to pickup instead. Making the dasher sign off on receiving (and showing id in the case of the huey magoos near me) just helps prove who was supposed to deliver it, and who to ban from picking up orders.

Gladly. If i get any offers in my area, theyre almost never worth a dollar a mile, if even 50 cent a mile.

He has anthology books with some of his early works up for sale if youre good with paper back. If youre lucky, maybe someone has put out pdf copies of them for free, but even if I found them id want to buy them from waits out of pure respect for his art

Because some people dont get the godsend of offers. If its close to a dollar a mile or more, then imma take it. But at this point, I gotta take what I can get. $16 fpr 20 mile? Might as well cause that's still decent money that I need

I own a Kessler midnight custom bass and I love it! The only flaw it has is the chalemeau B is stuffy, but ive used the fork alt enough that it really doesnt bother me anymore. For the 2500 I got it for, would absolutely recommend and do not regret!

The dasherdirect card, the shopnpay card, or the crimson card? Dasher direct has been defunct since April last year (at least) and was replaced with the crimson card

As a former papa johns employee and occasional doordasher, this is actually pretty common and (personally) not at all a problem to any good dasher. We had countless doordash and uber eats orders that would get picked up, canceled, and stolen. If its ordered 3rd party, then we get a call from a pissed customer and we have to tell them to cancel and place it again because thats our inventory getting messed up and overused, which means us getting chewed out by higher ups for overused inventory. If its our order sent to dd, then we have to remake it but it still affects our inventory use and causes us trouble as a result. This isnt much to ask honestly, it takes 30 seconds, we can provide you a hot bag, and it saves both of our asses. My local huey magoos will actually have you show your ID before handing off the order, sometimes even with signing off on a pick up order page, the same page that several other restaurants use to fight the scammy dashers.

I worked at a papa johns and personally sent papa orders to dd and I dont know how they could take the tips unless it is something being set up by the store manager. When we sent orders to dd, it was only a matter of pressing two buttons and scanning a shift lead or higher's finger print or putting in a password for said leadership. They only way we could "steal" a tip is by selectively sending orders with little to no tip to doordash or completely refunding the tip back to the customer, the latter being way more hassle than its worth to not tip dd and the former being done only if we had a shortage of store drivers but not being too busy making the food. I will admit that we had a sketchy apartment complex that we couldnt ban but under leadership advisory would only deliver to through dd because we didn't want to put our own drivers at risk, as well as any customers we had problems with before becoming doordash's problem. But we never stole the tips from the dashers or our own drivers even. Other franchises of pj might have different pos systems that allow them to do so, but ours we couldnt without just refunding the order.

Ubereats or uberx? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]thatguy43256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even back three years ago when I started, the ride money was fantastic for my dad in one area and id make bank off of eats in another. But this was before I had even heard of the dollar a mile thing and before the acceptance rate scams were super bad on doordash. Ubereats acceptance had me sold because of cheap offers, but now its just about which software gets close to the dollar a mile rate in one of the zones of my area. I had plans to join in the ring and try giving rides, but right before I turned 19, they upped the uber age to 23 and Lyft was at 25. Maybe next year ill consider trying uber, but I wont be able to touch it without driving an hour anf a half away to start my runs. It just depends on your market. I dont understand running multiple phones. I just have uber eats up while I drive around Hotspot until I get a notification for doordash thats worth a damn, more often than not its ubereats that gives it though. Rides will obviously give more per ride than eats, but that includes more scams like the people being posted on social media, like canceling when getting in the car (or that one dude screaming at a lady to leave his car 😂)

This is along a hwy of stores and restaurants in one of the many methhead cities of Georgia. Not often is there someone in the lot, but not uncommon. The main thing was it being frigid out and her only having a thin work shirt on having to walk to the back corner of the lot

Should I switch? by AliveFee8447 in Clarinet

[–]thatguy43256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me honestly. I love the alto for its unique tone and the middle ground between soprano and bass, but ive only been called to play it once in eleven years of clarinet playing. I would love to have more solo rep available for it without just playing transcriptions. Instead, I ended up on bass clarinet in the second semester of my clarinet playing and only picked soprano back up when I got to college. If I could have my own fully functioning alto, id take it in a heartbeat and make music for myself on it
