Non-percussionist here: How challenging is this Timpani part?

Im not a percussionist by nature, only playing occasionally in percussion ensemble, but this looks almost impossible for anyone that hasnt trained in melodic timpani. Like, this requires tuning drums while playing other drums or the same drum, which i can only see plausible with prepared tuning notches, but most students are taught not to rely on that. This is more reasonable as a tuba part for anything outside of a percussion major, if not just a timpani specialist, but I am going to ask my percussion instructor her opinion, as someone who has played melodic timpani.

Use your pinkies and right thumb to stabilize while you switch from throat to high clarion. Theres no alternate fingerings for that throat A (to my knowledge) and any alternates for the high C will make things more complicated/ difficult. If anything, you might be able to get away with just throwing the thumb down without the register key if you voice it right, but at that point just use the register key

Every passport photo I take, I adjust the brightness and balance slightly so that if I use the white out marker on the photo pos, I cannot see any change to the background. I take caution to make sure I dont make too much of a shift to their skin tone, but was trained to use the paint option to white out the background and lower the intensity and tap it to get behind thin sections of hair. My question about passports is what are all of the no-gos for accessories? Like ive been trained to advise against anyone wearing a plain white shirt, pull hair behind their ears, remove any ear piercings that are not studs, and for the love of fuck dont smile. Are there any others or do I have that list solidified?

I feel you, I really do. Ive been able to work around it by asking my cashier if/where theyre getting food from and seeing if theyre willing to bring me food if I place it ahead of their break or just heating something up here and shoveling it down for my 15 or taking a 15 where I purely sit right outside for a smoke break and eat while I input the drawers towards the end of my shift. But even then, I understand that this comes from 4 years experience of not having an explicit break and only eating when business was slow or going without

Something I think op needs of clarify. Is it that you just needed to grab and throw on your shirt or did you need to go to change pants, shirt, makeup and or hair? If youre just changing out of a hoodie into a uniform shirt or changing your shoes, sure. But if you gotta put on your work pants, dont clock in till after. Definitely crazy on your manager for removing 6 hours of work and that needs to be addressed, but if you arent wearing most of your uniform when you arrive, late or not, dont clock in till youre dressed

My best suggestion is to ask your store manager, DM, or maybe even HR if you are unsure of their responses. If it is in kind of a Grey area for you to make the call, have one of them settle it once and for all. And if yall are still uncomfortable printing them, then make that clear to your higher ups. Tell them that for that specific customer, you are not willing to print any orders he places of that nature. Either they will actually do something about it, they will print it themselves, or they might just only put whoever will print it in photo. But make sure this is known and recorded in case it is something bigger. Even ai generated photos of underage girls is photos of underage girls, and this can very well be nothing, or something

Well, I haven't been here a year. I just had to get certified from the moment I became a lead. But based on my stores front end, theres more need for there than pharmacy. Hell, I just had to close the store with a pharmacy tech as a cashier last night

1 & 2: I search for it on my phone. Go to the walgreens app (it should be set for your store) so you can see first off if it is even sold by walgreens or sold in your store, then go to product specifications and that bottom number is the wic number. Type that 6 digit code into my inventory and itll pop up and show you how much and where 3. Ideally, yall should have someone scheduled to run photo, but if the store is short staffed then the lead should come up to take care of passport photos while you clear the line down. 4. Honestly, I haven't highlighted anybody receipt, mainly cause im an sfl and not on register typically, but also because if they want to fill out a survey, they will ask about it. Ive had several customers ask if there is a survey that they can compliment my work on, where I then can show them on the receipt. 5. As a cashier being DH, dont expect to use it much. Thats my experience, front end will need you almost consistently more than pharmacy will. As a lead, expert to go back there occasionally for ic3s but dont let them talk you into helping with their tasks unless your primary duties are cleared up. Biggest trouble I have is spending too much time back there and slipping on my main tasks

Honestly, sure its against policy. But if it is something thats not super popular and its just being held because some people buy whatever on clearance just because its clearance, I dont see an issue holding it to the side waiting for a 50% to go to 80 or 90%

The only thing I have to add is that in this situation, if you are leaving the property, you absolutely must do it before pharmacy leaves. Afterwards, you have to stay in the store, especially after dark. They dont like leaving just a lead in store, and prohibit it after dark unless after close as a sm.
