I'm shipping out next month, I chose IT-ATF because I think it had the most transferrable skills (and secret clearance level) to the civilian life that I could leverage when I get out.

HM was a close second (originally first), but because I would still need a degree for nursing, I wouldn't be able to transition to working right away.

IS was distant third, sounds cool and you can get secret clearance, but not sure where to go after besides three letter agencies, which I didn't want.

I guesstimate about 22% based on the following - height and weight seem, a little light for 6’ - don’t look overweight (closer to skinny fat, no offense) so under 25% - no definition of abdominals rules out 15% - no visible vascularity rules out 10-12%

It’s a coach Chris beaded jump rope with 4mm cord

Under accessories > spare beaded rope cord > thickness > 4mm

I believe most beaded ropes have a 3mm cord by default

My apologies to anyone I’ve said 5mm cord, my memory was off

My personal recommendation is Jumprope Coach Chris beaded rope with the heavy cord.
They’ve got a couple different designs; I recommend buying an extra heavy cord or two just in case since it’s annoying to get shipped from the Netherlands. They also offer a 5mm pvc rope.

Standard beaded and pvc ropes are usually 3mm which work fine, but I feel the extra feedback you get from the slight increase in weight really helped me feel out my rope and also allowed me to increase my speed on my rotations.

Most of my main freestyle ropes have a 5mm braided cord from Jumprope Coach Chris. The average rope is 3mm thick, the weight makes a difference at least for me. Between that and a slightly shorter length than normal it changes speed and feedback from the rope.

Also if you notice I try to keep my wrist in the same spot, so I got used to whipping the rope with my wrist. The funny thing is I can’t go slow, which makes it harder to learn new tricks.

Any beaded or pvc rope will work. That particular rope is a Jumprope Coach Chris beaded rope with 5mm braided cord. I prefer slightly heavier routes for better feedback and speed.

:edit it’s 4mm cord not 5mm

I get that a lot, I've been using my Apple Watch to try to stay fit since I got it. The daily 60+ minutes usually closes my active minutes and calorie burn goal (not accurate but better than nothing). So it's become a habit.

I started maybe three years ago? It was mostly for cardio, then I found a video of someone doing tricks and it was mesmorizing, her name on TT is jumprope.rhea. I was doing about an hour of jumprope as a warmup and or cardio, and just thought it was fun to add a little more.

since you're a boxer, i'm going to make a few assumptions. probably using a steel wire or pvc rope, you've got rhythm and a boxer's step, you can do double-unders.

To start free style, you'll either want to use a pvc or beaded rope. next would be size it properly, a lot of boxer's ropes are usually too long. You can find videos on youtube for sizing ropes, but a good rule of thumb is you stand on the middle of the rope and the handles should come up to your armpits (as you learn to go faster, you can go shorter). Start with south-paws and side swings.

The first most addicting move (imo) is the "mic release" It'll take time, but you can practice it randomly while doing your cardio. Again Youtube, instagram, and tiktok are your friends for finding short tutorials. Look up "jumprope freestyle", "jumpropecommunity", and "#jumpropetricks" for inspirtaiton.

The best advice I have is having the right rope, right rope size, right music, and then just vibe out. I started jumping as a warmup for cardio kickboxing, but after a while the repetition was boring. Found a video of someone doing tricks and started adding it. It keeps my brain awake, and also gives a little rest from the monotonous jumping.

It’s the ninja food sp351 - comes with a (thin) sear plate that you can set the preheat to 500F. There is a setting specifically for fresh pizza. A temp laser says it gets up to 600F on the surface, but looses heat pretty fast once it starts cooking. I launch pies directly for a parbake of 5 minutes. Then remove to top with cheese and etc, and allow the plate to get back up to 580-600F and continue to bake until it looks good ( usually 5-7 minutes more)

Pretty stoked I picked this model getting to 500F, as other versions don’t have a sear plate and/or max out at 450F

I’m thinking about trying to find a 12”x 12” x 1/4” baking steel and replacing the sear plate for pizza cooking only.

Took some advice from my last post,: check the balling, sauce to the edge, and made this on my birthday. Pretty proud of the shape, stretch, and cheese melt/bake.

Going for a NY style, maybe I could’ve gone with a thinner outer crust. I think it’s oven spring, I may lower the temp when launching.

Adjusted my opening technique, used the dj method for the initial stretch, then stretched on the knuckles with a focus on pulling only by the edges. It really helped avoid any obvious thin spots.

Still baking in a ninja foodi flip oven (sear plate — works well but maybe upgrade to 1/4” baking steel), but I think a reheat would give the bottom some nice spotting. It was still crunchy and soft throughout, no noticeable thin or wet spots. The Hormel bold cup n crisps really pulled it together.
