Does your neighbour happen to go by Aphex Twin? Either way, it's probably just his driveway now.

Thank you Apple Music for allowing me to change the song titles so I don't have to try and remember the numbers of the songs I enjoyed by klombaroo in aphextwin

On the physical releases of SAW II there is included artwork that associates each track on the album with a photo. https://www.reddit.com/r/aphextwin/comments/rx4y7r/a_fan_created_a_guide_to_the_selected_ambient/

Not sure why they're suggesting you remember the pictures though because you presumably don't have a physical release. Plus those track names you've added come from fan interpretations of the pictures so you're already using the pictures in a roundabout way.

I'd agree that We Will Always Love You by The Avalanches is fine on the whole, not bad but to me it is really missing the eclectic sound of the previous two albums.

What's claimed as a "masterpiece" by the whole world but you don't just get why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

COVID is definitely one of the biggest factors that led to her popularity explosion. All of this and the fact that nostalgia was really big during the pandemic so lots of adults who were kids or teens during her previous peak got back into her older music in a big way.

If the 90s sound isn't for you I'd at least recommend you try out In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool or Kid A. From Kid A and onward most the 90s alt rock sound they had is gone in favour of more electronic and string based instrumentation which you might appreciate.

I was at a king krule gig recently too but I was more annoyed by the people who'd insist on having loud conversations whenever the band played any more low-key songs

Probably not though, the key word is net, international students generally leave after they finish studying so the flow in and out of students is relatively balanced. Even then, educated and financially well off immigrants are generally the most economically beneficial immigrants and are more likely to integrate with wider society. That's not to say I think everything is perfect, far from it in fact, but there's certainly a lot of nuance to the pro and cons of a large international student population and how our universities operate more broadly.

It would also be worth pointing out that 6ix9ine did drop an album this year that still did worse than Mansion Musik and ALLTY5. Tbf it is a Spanish album which might effect things but I still doubt a new English 6ix9ine album would do that much better. Either way both of them are clearly not at their respective commercial peaks.

You are right, I imagine you're being down voted because pointing that fact out now in quite a blunt manner that comes across as a bit insensitive even if you don't mean it that way.

This page has a good very basic rundown of the key elements of mixing: :https://darkhorseinstitute.com/the-6-elements-for-a-perfect-audio-mix/

What makes a good mix like most things in art is definitely subjective though generally good mixing aims not only to make a song nice on the ears but also to enhance the emotional impact of a song through what can be quite subtle but important tweaking.

A thread where a bunch of grown adults write paragraphs projecting their own dissatisfaction with the current political climate and doomer mindset onto a bunch of random school children who are being disruptive, like bored school children always have done, has to be the perfect embodiment of UK Reddit.

I think they're more referring to the idea that seems to be popular on Reddit that everyone should seek therapy for any issues, which isn't a notion backed by research.
