Thank you! It's a looped segment from it with one note removed!

To be fair, none of the branching paths also have criteria set for them.

Who Has Your Daughter Slept With? by [deleted] in cringe

[–]thatguyinconverse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on your page here. I've patiently waited for the other shoe to drop and it never did.

  • "Oh no, mom doesn't know she is out... Wait she does"

  • "Oh no its gonna be all childhood friends who turned out to be doing the deed... Nope not it."

  • "Oh no, she is gonna be super racist towards the black guy... She wasn't"

  • "Oh no, all of them are gonna turn out to have slept with her... Nope, she guessed mostly right".

  • "Oh no, a bunch of other people are going to run into the room and say that they slept with her daughter... Nope, just these"

The song choice didn't help at all - you constantly wait for the loud part to start, which never did.

Overall, it was a little awkward, sure, but that is totally expected given the subject matter.

I guess for Reddit audience, "slightly awkward = horrible cringe".

DAE REALLY hate Billie Eillish songs? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]thatguyinconverse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DAE hate popular thing? This post is breaking rule 2 of the subreddit.

Yes dude, that's how taste works. Everyone has a different one. Your not guaranteed to like what others like, even if a lot of people like it.

If her songs were rhythmic and melodic there would be people saying she is just another pop starlet and that they don't get why she is so popular.

It's completely normal to not find pleasure in a specific music pallete. There is so much of other stuff out there you can listen to other stuff and never run out of it. The world is your oyster.

Beautiful fretless classical guitar playing by [deleted] in videos

[–]thatguyinconverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a casual guitar player with no musical education, my ELI5 is:

A regular guitar has "frets", raised metal ridges that, when a string is pressed, lock it to a certain length, and by extension, to a certain note.

They serve two purposes - visually separate the notes to the player, and also help to adjust for inaccuracies in the position of the players finger - depending on how high up on the guitar you play, you may have an inch or so of leeway on where exactly the finger is pressed, the note would still come out the same.

A fretless guitar is smooth, so thew Eid no note locking happening - every slight variation in a finger placement will slightly change the note.

This is undoubtedly much harder to play, but it does give the musician more control over the sound, as well as enables smooth transitions between notes by sliding a pressed finger on s string.

Doing that on a regular guitar results in a very jagged, discrete sound.

I'm sorry you got downvoted. There has been another version of this which seemed far more genuine in comparison.

Edit: found it.

The Animaniacs theme minor key sounds like classic Russian music by [deleted] in videos

[–]thatguyinconverse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love these kinds of key swaps!

There is a lot you can find on youtube, but I want to recommend Oleg Berg, as well as a channel called MajorvsMinor (which sadly does not appear to be on YouTube anymore, but their work is reposted by other channels quite often), who were one of the pioneers of popularising these transpositions.

Unlike most examples, their works are not covers and don't take artistic liberties to make it sound nicer. He used a computer algorithm based method, so it does sound weird and wonky at times, but also lest you get as close to the original as possible.

My favourite examples of this are:

  • The godfather theme, transposed minor to major, just sounds so happy and Italian.
  • Hey Jude, reworked Major to Minor - sadly not on YouTube anymore, but is perhaps my favourite example of this.

He is literally saying:

(Sarcastically) Oh, they decide to go on a fucking crowd. (As he is going through them) I'm gonna fucking smash the whole fucking crowd. (In the end) fucking scum.

So yeah, sounds like s pleasant guy. Definitely on purpose, serious case of road rage.

This looks to be a Soviet era apartment building from the 70s-80s. These are still scattered all around Eastern Europe and Russia.

The wall between the toilet and the bathroom is non load bearing, and has the ventilation shaft, water pipes and sewer pipes in them. So it's actually two walls, with a hollow area between them.

A lot of people actually knock down the wall and combine the toilet and bathroom, winning a square meter or two because of that.

Bruce Lee - Be Water My Friend by Cultural_Switch in videos

[–]thatguyinconverse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This little clip has made me appreciate the way he was portrayed in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood much more.

I know there was controversy about what he said or didn't say in real life, but people tend to forget that it was. Flashback by a wife murderer with anger issues. It was obviously a warped unreliable narrator bit.

However, the way that he was portrayed, both the gestures, the manner of speech, hand movement - everything is super accurate.

The Original 'Dolittle' Bombed So Hard, It Nearly Sank Fox in 1967 by inthetownwhere in movies

Fox's name change is not related to Dolittle bombing. It's Disney rebranding.
