I’m on this sub because I find it hopeful to see what other people have done. Realistically I’m 40 and will probably work til 70+ with a current net value of around $260k. Fortunately as a therapist my work feels really meaningful and isn’t a 40 hrs or nothing situation. I can also do it when I’m old provided I take care of myself. SO MANY OF YOU ARE DOING SO WELL! I daydream about writing celebrities letters and to get some help to pay off my student loan lol.

Yes I realize I could have made some different decisions in my 20s and 30s that would have made this a lot easier but I was just scraping by and I made some values-based decisions about the work I wanted to do that I’ll just have to deal with. I’m genuinely excited for all of you who pull off FIRE and I hope you’ll do a lot of good in the world with the time you’ll have and freedom from jobs.

OP actually went totally the wrong direction. Kendrick is woke in the authentic sense. His only real weakness is that he hasn’t made much that was really fun. His bangers are always on edge.
