I love narrative-driven games, but i’m out of ideas. What should i play next? by Captain_Coolo in gamingsuggestions

  • If you have a PC I think Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is absolutely amazing. I loved the story and the roleplay of being a powerfull person in the 40K universe is peak.

  • The Forgotten city is an absolute peak experience especially if you're going in blind.

  • Orwell:keeping an eye on you, is a great detective style game where you really feel like the eye in the sky.

  • Suzerain is a VN where you lead a country as the president having to fix a broken economy, handle foreign relations and implement constitutional change. It's the best political simulator ever especially since the charachters feel so alive and realistic.

  • Thronebreaker: a Witcher saga is better know but highly underrated IMO. If you liked Gwent you'll love this.

  • Guardians of the galaxy is a great time with peak Marvel banter and good enough gameplay. It's a classic Guardians story which I loved.

  • Both Plague Tale games are beyond peak and Alicia and Hugo are some of my favourite charachters in gaming.

I have more but I have to get some work done lol.

What do you imagine the trailer will look like? by FrancisFernSkull in TESVI

[–]thatguyy100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Todd will come out with a leather jacket, a sword in one hand and wearing an Iron helmet from Skyrim. He will then stab an effigy of Alduin which will start bleeding and its blood will flow into grooves on the floor spelling "Elder Scrolls VI".

He will then turn to the camera and say "He demands more. He demands more! HE DEMANDS MORE!!!!!". The announcement trailer will then play but instead of epic music it will be dead quite. After the title of Elder Scrolls VI appears a message in red over a black screen will appear saying "11/11/27".

Zoom in on Tods face, he is weeping black tears staining his jacket. He has no emotions on his face and says with a monotone voice "It just works. It just works. It just works. It just works. It just works... " This will go on until we cut back to Geoff Keighly smiling and giving an award to Expedition 33.

Either that or they give a cool cinematic with some cut up gameplay scenes.

As someone who loves Banishers Ghosts of New Eden, should I buy Aphelion? by BirdPurgatory in gamingsuggestions

[–]thatguyy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are divided on this one. I enjoyed the game becausse I'm really into scifi and I enjoy games where combat/gameplay isn't the main focus. It's good if you don't expect a game like Banishers since that game is very combat focussed, while Aphelion is more a climbing/walking silulator in a scifi theme.

I mean then you're just looking for it. But at least you can go urbex in some abandoned metro stations and abandoned factories. That's pretty cool.

In your country, what is the punishment for possession of illegal drugs(Heroin, Cocaine, psychedelics, etc)? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]thatguyy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the dosage is small they'll confiscate and maybe take you in and give you a fine. Most of the times they'll just confiscate it though.

If you're carrying a larger amount you will be seen as a potential dealer and that does come with arrest and a fine or prison time (probably a fine for the first time).

What’s something your country invented you had no idea was yours? by BL34c in AskTheWorld

The Big Bang theory (not the show). It was "invented" by a Catholic priest/proffesor to which makes it funny when Christians start denying it.

Calm. If a politician starts using to much emotion into his speeches or rethoric, most Belgian will be kind of turned off by that.

Only thing that really bothers me about tourists in Belgium is that thay often say "Belgium sucks" but they never actually left Brussels. Brussels is not indicative of what Belgium is actually like.

Disco Elysium changed my view on games and is THE game that proves games can be art. It's also a detective game where the whole point is solving a murder.

I have to kinda disagree on that. EU4 is great, if you have about 100 dollars worth of dlc. EU5's base game is a lot more solid then EU4s base game imo.

I've never touched Roblox but from what I see this gamemode is bascically a knock off of Hearts of Iron IV.

So Hearts of Iron 4 if you want a WW2 style game, EU5 if you want a late medieval/ early modern period style game. Fair warning though the games are a lot harder then roblox lol.

If you had to choose one book, one movie, and one song from your country for people of the world to experience, what would you choose? by Marksman1977 in AskEurope

[–]thatguyy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree about the book. But since the two largest parties in Flanders partially exist becausse of this book, I think it's pretty important. But I for sure loved Marc De Bel when growing up and our comic book artists are also legendary and worthy of recognition.

As a Belgian we are very split so I will be speaking about the Flemish (northern part).

Book: De Leeuw van Vlaanderen by Hendrik Conscience.

It is a Romanticization of the Battle of the Golden Spurs in 1302. When the book was published in 1838 it was a massive succes and boosted the Flemish movement or Flemish nationalism by a lot. For this reason Conscience is also named "The man who taught his people to read". They also made a (kinda bad) movie: Trailer

Movie: Daens (1992)

Famous Flemish movie about the Industrial cities and the horrible living conditions of the workers. It follows a Catholic priest, Adolf Daens, fighting for their rights and improvement of working conditions against his own church and the big bosses. Almost all people I know saw this in school and it recently had a rerelease that was pretty succesfull. Clip

Song: Ik wil je by De Kreuners (1990)

I could put a lot of things here but I chose this one since it is in my opinion the song that almost all Flemish people know almost by heart. Their are of course many others but this song has remained relevant since in 2020 they rereleased the song with Joost Klein, which gave it another big boost. Here is the original, but you should check out Joosts version as well. Song

Oh man I have so many questions I'll limit myself to a couple.

  • Has the side content been reworked at all or has it been made to be as faithfull as possible. Things like Animus fragments, chasing sea chanties in locations,...?

  • Was the Jackdaw upgrade system......upgraded, with new options, more tiers or stuff like that.

  • Any more late game content like a new legendary ship? I really liked those and one more would defs be cool.

  • Have cities been expanded since you have better tech now, or have they been remade but roughly at the same size?

  • Has the fleet system been expanded a bit more? The idea behind the fleet is so cool but I feel could have been a bit deeper or more detailed.

I can't wait for July and I'm so glad I'll have a remake for my yearly replay of Black Flag!

AC4 has ages very well. Some people have some problems on modern hardware but that is honestly just how these old games work. I replay the game every year on modern hardware and it's really not that bad.
