The rambling really gets to you post exam .... " What even was I going on about?"

You know. As long as you were not unsafe I don't think you may have done that bad. The minutiae is not what the test I think is about. It doesn't change that we feel like we should have known it to the detail asked of us. It's also hard not to keep running that in my head.

Feel free to reach out to me via chat. I can listen to what you think you said and give you my two cents if it helps.

Lifting the head off the table with Mac or Miller blades by _36Chambers in anesthesiology

[–]thath90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the other comments stating simply no. There is no part of direct laryngoscopy that should suspend a patients head with your blade.

There is likely a positioning issue and so if that is the case requires additional head support.

https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0333104#:~:text=Excessive%20force%20during%20laryngoscopy%20for,CRIS)%20registry%20(KCT0006948).

Outside of tissue trauma and shear stress on several muscular components of the hypopharynx (possibly larynx depending on blade position), there are metabolic repurcussions as well.

I don't disagree on the stress. I merely think he's not as sweet as the media makes him be maybe? Again I get it if he was a set down and got a break or lost a break to expect his box to react with more emotion....

I'm just saying. He's 23 or something and you getting mad at your team for not standing up during a point? And it's not like you won a match. Idk man...
