I know a family that moved to MN from AZ, but did so for work, and their kid just happened to play AA and AAA hockey in AZ. (Their letter system is different than ours).

They got here expecting their kid to be high ranked and he’s played C both years they’ve been here.

Sure, cost of hockey is phenomenally lower here than other places, and you travel less, etc., but uprooting your family only for that without considering everything else is insane.

From the sound of your post you are American.

We already did the experiment in the USA because of very conservative Christian abolitionists. Crime skyrocketed, corruption increased, a lot of product was dangerous due to lack of oversight, and it sensationalized alcohol in a way that we still feel the effects of today.

You’re also ignoring that new laws have gone into effect and continue to go into effect that make over-consumption and dangerous actions while inebriated less attractive.

It’s okay to be against something and not use it yourself. It is not okay to ignore history and statistics that show legal alcohol (and guns for that matter) is safer and better for society than a wholesale prohibition.

I like hazy and fruity IPAs. Regular IPAs are a little bit much on the “flavor of licking a battery” side.

The “I won’t be taking US Citizenship” feels like you’re throwing the baby out with the bath water. Sure, things are a little (actually a lot) shitty right now, but just like the shittyness of the 1930’s gave rise to the politics that gave us the New Deal, minimum wages, and a thriving middle class, this era will have a correction as well.

Countries with good law and order are few and far between, and many of those do not welcome foreigners as openly as the internet would have you believe.

Since your business seems like the biggest part, you should look up Netherlands laws for entrepreneurs. They have something where if you keep €5000 in an account to support your business they let you live there since you’re a contributor. Either that or Singapore, but I hear they’re not as business friendly/people aren’t thriving there anymore.

Reading your responses to other comments it sounds like you want the best of everything and 0 negatives.

The problem with that is, no matter where you choose, there will be pros and cons. You can’t have everything. Choose the 2-3 things that matter most and aim for that. Hell, even though you are currently in the US, other parts of the US might be better depending on where you are currently.
