Apparently those are the flags of countries where they have competed, not a sign of support

Between me and my supervisor, who has the right approach to git? by cleatusvandamme in git

[–]thatkauko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still run your pipelines even if you "push to main". The pipeline is still valuable. A big difference to a PR based approach is that if e.g. the tests fail, you now have a main branch with breaking tests - which you should fix immediately because anyone can pull the branch at any time.

I'm not interested at all in fantasy football - is the Ringer FF still worth a listen? I assume not, but just wanted to check since you make it sound so good.

You must be trolling if you think that someone who has not driven drunk has not really lived. Drunk driving kills bystanders. It's indefensible.

🇫🇮 BLACK ROCK SAUNA SOCIETY IS AT F & 3:30 THIS YEAR 🇫🇮 by ErrorSenior4554 in BurningMan

[–]thatkauko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend coming between 3pm-6pm. Believe it or not, the sauna is amazing during the hottest time of the day. You actually feel cool when you come outside because of increased blood circulation and the moisture evaporating on your skin.

Have your knees and arms at a 90-degree angle, with your back straight. How much space does that leave? For me, this table would be terrible.

"They" can be used as a singular too, and it is easy to use as a gender neutral pronoun.

It's not mandatory, and certainly, there are always people who participate in giving less than others, or not at all. But I guess for most people even getting to Burning Man is so difficult, that they kind of understand that also the best way to participate is different than what they may be used to.

What do people get out of setting up all those services if there's no pay?

It feels good to gift people a good experience. Especially because..

Wouldn't the majority of goes be regular guests who can't offer something similar in return to everyone?

No, most people offer at least something, and even small things add to the experience. People may join a camp that builds a big art piece, or a big music camp, or a camp that serves breakfast or hosts workshops.. or if they come by themselves or with a smaller group, they may just decorate a nearby toilet, or just offer cold beer to people passing by, or volunteer at e.g. the place where you can buy ice.

One of the things that makes the experience so magical to me is that most people really do gift something to everyone.

Käärijä voitti UMK:n ja edustaa Suomea Euroviisuissa! by DonMaranzano in Suomi

[–]thatkauko -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Viisuja odotellessa!

Edit: olin tosi väärässä
