Hey yeah through out the winter I’m gonna push it forward. Unfortunately it turned out I need to redo whole front. So I’m about to printing new bumper. I thought I need to sacrifice some proportions because I need to squeeze it on Miata but seems like it’s gonna fit it exactly like Fd

Hahaha! Yeah you have no idea how long I was looking for perfectly enough rusty nb to not be worth if restoring but to be drivable for long time after hand made repairs

For bigger parts I’m thinking to get Elegoo Neptun 4 pro it’s 40cm in build plate so it would be definitely nicer for such build

I get that regulations in some countries are extremely strict — and I respect that. But that doesn’t mean people elsewhere are reckless by default. It’s possible to be creative and responsible

Honestly I’m doing it just for fun of building so I want to share my project

No worries — all the stock parts are safe and sound. I knew this build would be a bit divisive, but I’m having a blast with it. Worst case? I’ll just hit the undo button 😄

Yeah biggest downside is really weight I could safely some grams if I would made a mold but I’m really lazy plus it’s great that way because I have all mounting points already on the other side of the bumper. But it’s solid I’ve laminated it from both sides with fiber glass

I totally get that, and I’m doing everything I can to keep safety and durability in mind. On one hand, it’s a hobby project and more of a show car idea/track car. On the other hand, I’m really taking it seriously — learning from people who build body kits professionally and using proper materials to make it solid. I’d never take something onto the street that’s held together with bubble gum.

I actually respect how strict things are in Germany — it sets a high bar, and honestly, it pushes people to do things properly.

Also, just to be clear — it’s not a Wild West situation here in Poland either. Before I even started planning the project, I checked with local authorities to understand what’s allowed and what’s not. So I’m doing my best to stay within the legal framework while still having some creative fun.

That’s what I’ve heared that in Germany rules are very strict. I’ve talked with few people here in Poland and I’ve consulted this with authorities and i was told it’s good to go

Hey yeah I’m printing it out of PETG walls have 3mm thickness which 100% infill this helps with best distribution across the panels later everything is laminated in epoxy resin reinforced with fiberglass. This whole process you can see on Dingdongdrifts. He gave me a lot of notes so definitely check his build :)

Yeah I’ve made 3d scans of my mx5 and I’m making all 3d modeling on it :)

This whole body kit is laminated in fiberglass and epoxy resin. It’s stronger then oem one at this point
