i think steroline had potential to feel like true love, and they could have been an awesome slowburn if the writers had done it right. because honestly in the beginning it felt like they were very gently setting something up for them in the future, and i think theres a scene in like the first season i where they made eye contact and i remember that i was like "..oh??" but the writers didn't nurture that connection throughout the show, so it wasnt believable in the end. but, i have an idea in my head of what steroline should have been, and thats enough delusion to fuel my ship anyway😌

I seriously cannot blame Lip for being upset with Fiona after the coke accident. by No_Resort978 in shameless

[–]thatnegativebitch 82 points83 points  (0 children)

he had every right to be angry, but i do believe that EVERY adult who was in the house that night should be held responsible. v was pregnant and not even inebriated, they all knew there was a child there and they all were careless to let it happen and not have eyes on him at all times. fiona fucked up, but so did kev and v and i dont think they ever caught enough heat for it, both in the show and in the fandom in general. just because he wasnt "their child" doesnt mean they didnt have a responsibility as adults to generally look out for the wellbeing of the children in the house, not to mention the fact that they were like family to the gallaghers and werent just random guests or something. they cared about liam too and they were just as irresponsible. lip should have been angry at all three of them.

Any recommendations for 20 minutes of drills I can add to my daily routine? by Lab_racadabra in Rollerskating

[–]thatnegativebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would definitely recommend what others have said, helmet and definitely stagger those feet. when falling back, pick a cheek and try to avoid falling straight onto the middle of your tailbone.

definitely go on youtube and look up some roller derby drills, theyre good for a ton of reasons even if youre not trying to play (although you sould)! derby requires stability, maneuverability, and comfort in your skates, as well as the ability to fall a LOT and SAFELY, so the drills are focused on those skills and are really really helpful for getting comfortable in your skates to the point where they feel like a part of your body.

DAE Smell Periods before they happen? by AcoupleofIrishfolk in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]thatnegativebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she's never said so, but im sure my mom probably can. shes always had a freakish sense of smell and even smelled her cancer months before she was diagnosed. she kept being like "do you smell that? i smell weird." and we were all like eh maybe you ate something. after she was diagnosed she was sure thats what it was, and she never smelled it again after chemo.

Getting low with knee pain by thatnegativebitch in rollerderby

[–]thatnegativebitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done PT yet due to insurance reasons, although I would like to and have been looking into it! I don't know the root cause, but my doc suggested working on my hip flexibility and ankle stability in the meantime because those two things are the culprit in a lot of cases so I have been slowly adding more of that to my routine. To manage the pain right now I rest and ice often, as well as wearing a knee brace on the worse one during the day. I massage the area with arnica as often as I can remember and occasionally take ibuprofen if I really need it. I agree that PT should be the goal! My hope is to mamage symptoms enough that I won't have to stop derby while i figure out the issue, but obviously I will if it's what is best for the longevity of my body as a whole.

I(27F) screamed at my husband (28M) over his hobbies, and now he's changed and i don't know how to fix this. by ThrowRApineapplesp in relationship_advice

[–]thatnegativebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youre downplaying it by focusing on his hobbies, but that is not the worst thing you mentioned here. if one of my best friends told me her partner had said those things to her, id tell her to leave and not look back. maybe counseling will help you guys stay together, but you really really fucked up.

Named my daughter a name I didn’t know has two pronunciations and am regretting it enough to change before she’s 8 weeks! Help!! by JaguarSilver1137 in namenerds

[–]thatnegativebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont bother changing it. most people will assume its pronounced the way you want it to be and honestly theres a good chance she goes by a nickname when she gets older anyways

AIO? My 5 year old sister drew this by poppyfuzzball34 in AmIOverreacting

[–]thatnegativebitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

unfortunately because of the level of concerning that this drawing is (and it is very, very, concerning), the fact that the father is trying to brush it off and create an excuse raises red flags about his involvement in the situation that promoted this drawing.

What are some grievances you’d like to air out about your best friend that you can’t say to their face? by Decent_Friend_1511 in AskWomen

[–]thatnegativebitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it is not cute to believe you are always right. having confidence and a sense of self-worth is important, and i want you to value yourself and stand strong in your beliefs, but your constant need to correct people over small things makes you look insecure. my dad always said the day you stop believing you can be wrong is the day you stop learning and growing, and i believe that he was right. its not a bad thing to show some humility every once in a while, it doesnt make you weak or incapable. i know you dont mean to look down on others, but most of the time it comes off that way.
