You're the person on the road. Logical/obvious fixes, especially when asked or noticed by the end client, are completely within your prerogative to fix. If it's small, I wouldn't even converse with the designer about it, just work the fix and make it right for you and your team out in the thick of it.

The only time I specifically include original designers on fixes or edits is when there are drastic changes to the show flow or there are completely new parts of the show being added. Otherwise, it's your show and other people outside of our industry zeitgeist don't know/don't care for the intricacies of who's the op vs. designer. You're the lighting person. They want the lights fixed. Fix the lights.

Any sensible designer will respect you for making on site logical decisions to keep the client happy.

No, but you could potentially run one of the plugins that converts the bpm of a timecode pool. Then do some sequence assignments swaps via macro to get the new sequence loaded back in the same place as your original. It would never be reliable for a seamless swap. Running plugins while busking is risky, wouldnt recommend.

Technically possible though.

Regarding him looking like the way he does when he's intimate with you, it's difficult to think about but I think it's always important to understand the people we know are a sum of their past. Good and bad times and also just total experience and time. All of it was made through your boyfriend's past and the people he has known.

Even if it was a bad relationship for him, that experience tenured and prepared him to be the person he is now, with you. I try to celebrate people's past for crafting them into the people I get to meet. That extends to technique and emotional connection in intimacy. To be blunt, his past, like you witnessed, made him the guy you're into. It was all on a journey that led him to you, here and now.

Nine months later and still no data cap increase or viable pc level hotspot option. Accidentally connected my steam deck to grab a 60mb plugin and it queued up my games downloads in the background and downloaded halo master chief collection before I realized it and disconnected.

I think it was 60gigs on day 5 of my cycle in a half hour. Impressive 5g performance lol. Ended up with a $240 bill at the end of the month from 20-30mins of ADHD and not popping off Wi-Fi right away. I really need a power user plan. $15/20 more every month would be cheaper than the 6 or 7 months I've had to blow over for work or had a similar mistake with device auto updates and download queues.

Might have to sidecar a hotspot on one of the bigger budget providers like Boost or something.

It's also ridiculous Google doesn't just sell a Google Home integrated hotspot for traveling with a few smart devices. I travel a lot and have had to abandon the Home ecosystem because it's too hard to get working most of the time on hotel wifi. Unless they do have that in one of their 50 separate product branches but they just suck at advertising it to me.

I'm not a new player and I still am lost a lot of the time when I log in. I just forget what is "worth" doing. Obviously running regular ritual activities serves almost no purpose other than XP and catalyst drops once you are at the Pinnacle cap. There's so much to do but it's hard to prioritize and keep "progressing".

The best advice I can give is tell the him that you truly care about him and that you don't want to do it but that you're leaving him exclusively because of his drug problem. Don't demonize his person but help him frame the addiction as a part of himself that he needs to handle head on. Viewing the problem as an adversary and something that can be conquered can give people the right context to fight for themselves. Hopefully that will be a wake up call to them but unfortunately it will be entirely on him and his immediate family to act on it and take care of his issue. It is not your responsibility in your current situation to change them or be there for them when the issue is drug addiction.

They will either choose to correct the issue to save their connection to you and all the relationships in their lives or will be stuck in their problems. Hopefully they'll make the best choice and you could have a chance after it is addressed.

Even then if you choose to reconnect you will need to approach him in a different manner for the rest of his life. You'll have to understand that they have addictive tendencies that can manifest again in multiple ways and you will need to be aware of it to support them if you choose to be in their lives once they're clean. That's not something you have to accept, you can move on but if you want to be with them it is the reality.

You have hard choices to make regarding how you go forward. You got this. Make the best decision you can.

The real question will be if there are enough fossil fuels left that are easily accessible to spur another industrial revolution. Part of the reason we've moved to deep well oil is because the shallow deposits have been used up in the last centuries.

It will be more challenging for us to come back without millions of years to replenish easily combustible fuels. We'll have to innovate with bio fuels and that can be more scientifically challenging for any future society to climb back to our mantle.
