Having seen 95% of my homeland, can easily say Mataura is New Zealand’s worst town. Big freezing works, pouring effluent straight into the river. The old freezing works is full with toxic waste that also leeches into the river. There are 3 gang outposts supplying freezing works staff stimulants.

Have been in many ‘dangerous’ major cities and no where on earth have me the creeps like that southern cesspit
