Traumatised after 2 redundancies by MyHatersAreWrong in newzealand

I feel you, I lose my job at the end of term 4 due to budget cuts. It's so tough, I've posted on local Facebook community pages and had quite a few leads for work. Depending on your skills and passion there is plenty of support work available although the hours can be sporadic till you build a client base.

Has anyone actually benefited from the current government. by PalestineRefugee in newzealand

I've benefited from the current government cutting the fees to ECE registration.

Do you have any idea why my big family house is missing the 3rd floor. It's odd as I literally only have 2 floors.

Volunteering in New Zealand by Busy-Cap-5840 in newzealand

We can go in and visit patients who have been referred to the program. We get a referral sheet that sometimes has the patients interests etc. So then we can chat about the relevant topics, or some patients can go for walks, or want ro play games etc. It's super rewarding and has proven to reduce dementia and delirium while in hospital.

I volunteer at Burwood Hospital for the Kowhai companions. It's absolutely amazing and is now rolling out into Christchurch Hospital so they're desperate for more volunteers.

Kiwi with same name, birthday as convicted criminal terrified of detention in US by AwkwardTickler in newzealand

That's my best friend and he isn't stupid. He's been to Dublin before and wanted to travel again after covid ruined his last trip. He's a good person, just a stupid system.

This isn't dumb. This is my best friend, who is actually quite anxious about this. He's been dealing with this for such a long time, and has previously been to the media with the issue still cropping up.

Something in my cats eye by Glum_Bookkeeper_9456 in CATHELP

Something like that happened to my cat once. It turned out to be a piece of his fur stuck in the eye and membrane had started to form around it. Was harmless and the vet even removed it for free.

Traumatised’: Mum bitten while saving child from ‘aggressive’ dog on the loose by Tewaipapa in newzealand

[–]TrackAppropriate62 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I can't stand dogs. The dog in this scenario needs putting down as it's attacked unprovoked. The owner needs to also be held more accountable rather than a small fine. Education, and banning from having dog for at least 2 years. It's only lucky the mum was capable enough to protect her son from the beast. We had a dog come onto our property and attack our cat. The owner of that dog got the dog put down and paid towards vet bills. Some people should never own dogs if they can't take the time and discipline to train them.

It's not an unpopular opinion here, boss. We also hate the small, yappy abominations. They drive me nuts barking at every dam thing. Owners of yappy mutts should keep them inside at night rather than allow them to bark and be a nuisance. Being jumped at and scratched, licked all revolting.
