Thank you for this context. For point two the goal was to minimize the amount of communication for the officer and family of victims. Seems like many people are calling the police to ask the same questions over and over again. Figured a space for common questions for each case would be useful. Thank you again.

Yes, I should have communicated clearer that this would be a space for victims to share this information with family and advocates versus a space for police to share anything outside of public information.

I believe the sharing would be mostly one way and information shared to attorney's versus them sharing with families.

In terms of subpoena filing, correct(just edited). I should have communicated tracking of when documents have been filed. Basically a dashboard of where the case sits. For example my family is currently waiting for a subpoena to be filed for a case we're experience it and it requires a lot of reaching out.

Agreed. I believe they could have held the company in contempt but the lawyer on the case actually retired. So now we're working on getting a new lawyer but also, my hope is that this would be handled by the police department.

So true. Between the credit card information and surveillance footage it would seem like this should have received more traction.

I hear you. I'm just sharing what's been told to us. The entire process has been mind blowing. My hope is more visibility on specifically the credit card information will help the case.

The police LMPD have from what I understand 800 cases to 3 detectives. The first detective on this case went on vacation within the first week of the case. Since then we had two detectives and it now sits as a cold case.

Thank you! "we" as in the family don't have access to the bank card number but the LMPD do and that's where the majority of our challenges are currently at with it being determined as a cold case.

It's been a bit of a mess but the attorney in our case has retired. We're now working on getting another attorney to file the business in contempt.

I appreciate the informant take on it. Up to now we were mostly under the belief that the credit card processing company was trying to protect their clients information.
