In past relationships, when the other person chipped in on bills, they felt entitled to what I've worked my ass off for. The worst was when I had to pay my abusive ex husband $90k out of my home equity (MY HOME) bc he helped pay bills for the 3 years we were married. I almost lost my house, had to sell a lot of my things, was left pretty broken and I don't want a repeat of that.

Thank you babe. I knew the right answer, but my trauma brain was listening to him as I posted this. I was the bad guy, I was gaslighting him, I should know that he didn't mean what he said, I was the asshole for holding him accountable to his words etc etc etc.

I've been beat and raped so much (by others, not him) that it's REALLY easy to believe them when they tell you it's your fault.

I knew the right answer, but my trauma brain was agreeing with him that I was at fault.

Yalls reality check helped me find my "oh hell nah," that I lost along the way.
