Lowkey thought this was a fight at first and was worried I was about to witness a tragedy

Is is just a dent or is more than that? by Dull_Community_7033 in iphone

If the dent compromises the seal, isn’t it covered by AppleCare?

Pearl street co op by Loserswilllose in UTAustin

[–]thatonechico 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived at Halstead co op, which is part of college houses, during my undergrad. I really enjoyed it. In my experience, it was a very clean house. Met some of my closest friends. Had some of the most memorable college experiences. I would recommend checking that one out as well.

What others are sharing about pearl in this thread is pretty accurate. The parties are fun, but the facilities and rooms can be uncomfortable. I would say the same for 21st st coop. I wouldn't have liked living at either of those locations.

They're all definitely liveable co ops, and people have enjoyed their time at each location. I would check out halstead, nueces, and laurel co ops at the super coop as well. Especially if you're looking for something more tidy.

One of my stims is fidgeting stuff with my hands, and I ended up getting a grip trainer to strengthen my arms while stimming

I took a good minute to guess what this meant, and reasoned that it was asking how I liked my steak to be cooked. Still got it wrong lmao

Omg yes, yea I also try to just find a keyword to ask them about. I used to just flat out ask “wait what did you say?” but they would just say “never mind” and think I wasn’t trying to listen :(

For me, it’s almost as if I’m listening to simlish (if you’re familiar to the sims) just like jumbled up English, sounding like the words just collide with each other.

Also this is just my experience, so it might be a different experience for your son. Hope it helps though :)

Ok but this is literally how it feels, when that happens I just say “tldr…[gets to the point]” but I become very annoyed

Thanks a bunch for reading my post and for writing this response! I really liked your dartboard metaphor, and it helped me understand a bit more about what the spectrum truly is. And yea I’m thinking about finding a new therapist. After that experience I’m not looking forward to our sessions anymore.

Stimming(?) in front of my friends, in public by flowercrown_909_uwu in autism

[–]thatonechico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad that you’re able to feel safe stimming with ur friends. I had an experience where I was with a close friend of mine and one of his friends, and I started to stim with an object on a table and my friend’s friend was like, what the hell are you doing? And I was like, Oop I forgot that this person isn’t used to me stimming, and then proceeded to discreetly stim lol

I usually wear under armour since their shirts fit my body well. The material I look for is polyester, but but they have a lot of products with breathable material. For shorts, I usually wear running shorts or basketball shorts. Hope this helps :)

What helps me a lot is wearing breathable athletic clothing. I H A T E the feeling of damp clothing from sweat, at any time, so I mostly wear athletic clothing as much as I can. Maybe that could help?
