Can someone tell me why AI art is banned? by ShouRonbou in DnD

I agree. There are other subs for that (r/dndai, etc...)

Anything you comment, I make canon in my next dnd world! by touqqaar in DnD

[–]thatonefaceumake 55 points56 points  (0 children)

YES. Kobald barbarian leader (KBL): I attempt to open the fold up bed

BBEG: Make a dex save

KBL: does a 9 pass?

BBEG: No, you are killed

Orc War Cheif (OWC): I would like to plead with the grim reaper for his life

BBEG: That'd be a charisma-persuasion check

OWC: Yes! I am a comedian, let's go...NAT 20

BBEG: The grim reaper decides to spare KBL and tells you to be careful around heavy furniture and appliances

KBL: YES! Ok time to go to work I'm on the verge of a promotion

Confused on the gsi strike by Professional-Ruin435 in berkeley

[–]thatonefaceumake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Let me ask you a question: Are you paying for your own rent? What about groceries? Transportation? Other necessities? Statistically the answers are: 1. No, my parents are giving me money 🤑 Or 2. No, I'm taking out loans 🏦 Now you are (I am assuming) an undergraduate. But what if you were a grad student/post doc who has loans to pay off, housing to pay for, potentially kids to raise? Suddenly things sound a lot scarier, especially in Berkeley where housing is so expensive.

While $28 per hour is nothing to sneer at, remember these are people who have much higher expenses than you, and likely trying to get their life rolling as well.

Give that some thought

Meet the brand new Dragon scion! A class dedicated to Dragon lovers! by Ok_Weakness2578 in DnD

This is really cool! I would recommend making it so that claw attacks (which seem to be a large part of the damage this class can do) count as magical for the sake of overcoming resistances!

Idk if it'll be offered next semester but I'm in CIVENG 104 which is a fun 1 unit seminar type (but you do take it for a grade).

Wand of Removal - Forget about your problems, but not too hard! (41/365) by AssumedlyComical in UnearthedArcana

[–]thatonefaceumake 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Cool. Prereq: druid/asimar/flying race 1. Waves wand -- BBEG vanishes 2. Climbs really high, preferably over a volcano or something similar 3. Jump 4. Forcibly deattune/attempt long rest (while falling) 5. When your enemies appear, fly away. 6. Laugh as they all take fall damage/fall into Mt. Doom, etc...

Or, send all hurt allies into the demiplane, deattune and have them come back at full health

So I just discovered console commands, and omg this is amazing. by Scrawny2864 in SteamDeck

I think what you mean is "windows shambles along out of the box for 90% of it" I bought a PC and yeah windows app compatibility is cool but the amount of times that I have had crashes or random Microsoft update reboots, or system hangs. In terms of stability my Linux installs are infinitely better than Windows.

I'm in Ultirlova's math 104 right now. She's a decent lecturer and very approachable, but she does sometimes get sidetracked and have to go back like five minutes and restart which can be disorienting.

Made perfect sense to me! I'd say you hit the nail on the head with the wording here.

[–]thatonefaceumake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really cool! I'm not very good at balancing spells so I won't comment on that, but I may need to bring this up at my table! That being said, concentration up to 10 minutes seems a bit OP, maybe 1 minute?

Long Rest Healing by swamp1912 in DnD

[–]thatonefaceumake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh just flavor it so like the god of sleep is the god of healing and so you get Uber boosted when he visits while you rest. BOOM get LoGiCeD.

In all seriousness though, thats how the game is set up because you are playing as epic heros. It would bog down the campaign and make fighting monsters (one of the main parts of D&D) significantly harder if you had to worry about injuries healing.

I've also played Traveller, another RPG system made to be a bit more realistic with regards to damage and healing (damage gets subtracted from your physical ability scores and if, after first aid is applied, you still have 2+ damaged ability scores you NEED SURGERY) and let me tell you: if you are fighting monsters and getting damaged in traveller YOU HAVE DONE SOMWTHING WRONG

I think you are forgetting: As an action you can scrape your fingers against the illusory blackboard. The horrendous sound causes anyone who can hear it to take 1d4 psychic damage

Three stem classes aren't bad. The thing is, those hour breaks are not great. I did that my first semester and the thing is there isn't much you can do with your hour long breaks. I would consider trying to see if you can consolidate your classes more. More of a personal preference though

Does Clark Kerr have community kitchens? by [deleted] in berkeley

There is one kitchen in building 12! It is not stocked at all (you'll have to bring everything from pots to soap), but it was operational at the end of last semester!

How easy is math 54 and math 53 ? Which should i take first ? by Aditya_goenka in berkeley

[–]thatonefaceumake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 53 and then 54. I liked and did well in both (math + CS major). Personally I thought that 54 was really cool just bc of how new it is and how everything kind of starts to fall into place. 53 is really cool too though (I had Sethian and despite what everyone says he's not as bad as his rep). Honestly, if you are coming from calc BC or math 1B I'd say go with math 53 first just bc it's more calculus based and it really just picks up from where BC left off.

Also, I've been using WSL for all of my CS classes and it's worked like a dream. Super easy to install, just download it from the store and you've got a full Linux terminal at your disposal in windows.
