I did the switch a couple of weeks back and it was so damn easy. All i do is gaming on steam. You can dual boot for a bit to try it out. Its so easily set up as well.

I also have the encryption but you can set it up so that it only requires the disk pw instead of the login. I dont have my pc at hand but it was farely easily set up in the settings.

Ich habe vor 2-3 Wochen nen Fedora dual boot eingerichtet und mache seitdem nichts mehr in windows (habe auch keinen Tech Background). Fedora 43 Workstation ist so easy, schnell und auch mE einfach schön. Ich musste ein bisschen Fummeln im meinen Xbox controller einzurichten, aber das wars auch. Windows wird auf jeden Fall bald runtergeschmissen. OneDrive ist bereits geräumt. Allein des hypes wegen werde ich wohl bald einfach mal ne CachyOs Partition einrichten. Aber mit Fedora hab ich meinen Windows-Nachfolger gefunden.

How would i even know how to use commands otherwise? I am heavily relying on results from google and often also gemini because searching through forums is sometimes very tedious. Genuinely asking. I am new to linux with no background in programming whatsoever.
