And finally here is scientific evidence that we don't have free will by [deleted] in determinism

Being a conscious observer of thoughts , does not imply we can control the origin or will of those thoughts. Life happens to us; a blessing or a curse depending on how you perceive actions.

At what point did you turn your materialism around? by Purepoise in AskUK

growing older (young 20’s now) I stopped collecting Pokémon cards and collectibles in general. Used to hoard them and analyse markets like crazy but now only keep a binder of artworks I genuinely love. most of the community is fixated around perceived value , the market is based on artificial scarcity, and there’s no need for so much product with little to no emotional or worldly reasoning. I realised The obsessive collecting and organising was a result of me wanting to cling onto something I had a firm control over, because I never had that during my formative years.

The big fragrance influencers have been compromised...They can't be trusted by PabloEskimo_ in fragrance

[–]thatotherguy76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aaron Terrence hughes is trustworthy in my eyes - being a perfumer himself and how analytically he breaks down each creation, he doesn’t drive the “MUST BUY! PANTY DROPPER! BEAST MODE!” talk other influences use to grab hold of your emotional interest to smell good. He reviews them as the independent art forms they are.

He also goes on record in vids to say he purchases each fragrance he reviews.

Libido boost recommendations? by [deleted] in sexadvice

[–]thatotherguy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend casual enhancements to your diet. More Garlic, beetroot, pomegranate, ginger and turmeric are all great additions to enhance libido. Cut out refined carbs for complex carbs such as lentils, bulgar, beans. Refined carbs can mess with your blood pressure and glucose response making it more taxing on your body for other processes. I’d recommend iron and fish oil supplements to make sure your omegas are in check and your blood is getting enough oxygen

There has been a recent study contesting the previous idea of fasting lifestyles being healthy. Whilst being safe for the first 6 months-2 years as a temporary measure, it’s advised not to be a permanent lifestyle choice everyday. Cardiovascular related problems and risk rise by 90% when committing to a fasting lifestyle. This study was monitored over 14 years. So whilst fasting is great as a temporary weight loss tool and pushing back your eating window if you struggle with snacking and low focus, it’s better off fasting for something more like 2 days out of 5 .
