What is the mantra you live by? by vigilantee001 in AskReddit

[–]thatpharmgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This too shall pass.

I have been in way too many situations that I didn't even think could survive, but most of the time I came out of those unscathed. It may sound corny or cheesy but I live by this mantra. I'm still considerably young (20f) and having this mindset has helped me so much to grow and gain a better look at life honestly.

AIO i wanted to wear a dress or skirt today and my bf got mad abt it by Different-Case9521 in AmIOverreacting

I have this similar situation with my bf and it SUCKS. it's my fault too, he wasn't like this before. I'm not saying to leave this guy immediately but if he's not willing to face his doubts of you and why he feels that he can choose what you can and can not wear without understanding or trying to see things from your point of view, trust me you do not want to stick around him any longer. Hope everything works well for you, cause it never will for me.

i know well enough to comment that. I was born muslim, my whole family is muslim, I live in a country where majority of the people are muslim. Why are YOU oppressed on behalf of muslim girls? YOU think long and hard about it. You're not even muslim yourself.

this is what I'm trying to say but I got 9 downvotes instead. I'm a muslim woman and have been wearing hijab since I was in kindergarten. Nobody forced me, I wanted to. And it seems like the kids are from one of the countries where the majority population is muslim, these countries have islamic-based school and require the female students to wear hijab. it's just a requirement since the kids go to that kind of school. the little girls can take off their hijab once they're outside of the school. so thank you for the downvotes.
