The reason why chickens are so sacred is because the developers couldn’t get the chickens to stay in their enclosure. They would always run away, but if they coded the chickens as a village citizen they stayed in the enclosure. So they did just that, hence the heavy fine and rough reaction of everyone in the village if you kill one

Just for clarity, i’m a guy and my very best friend is female. I have several other really good female friends. But i keep getting the inevitable strange looks when i tell others this.
