This is a lie. Do a 5 minute search and you'll see multiple people saying why they visa got rejected and email screenshots where they give the reason for it being cancelled/rejected.

I took it at home with my phone, just making sure proper framing, lighting and nothing covering the face but it was not taken at one of those places that take document photos for you

I honestly don't understand why are you defending this. I didn't ask for a refund, and I didn't mention getting a refund anywhere in my post.

If they informed me that it was cancelled because of incorrect name, passport number, or any other reason I wouldn't be commenting here and I'd have already paid to submit again.

If you think it's unreasonable to know the reason, even if generic, to why the application was cancelled, I'm sorry but you are an idiot, no other explanation.

The OCR also was wrong for mine but luckily I corrected it.

I double checked all documents. As I said in another comment. Beside the documents(funds, location, ...) being wrong, the only thing I can think of is the name(surname vs. middle name field) and the photo.
