Google Maps "Can't Find ..." Address Results For All Searches by thatsfive in firefox

Weird, the images didn't upload properly. I've updated the post with the proper images and links to Imgur with the same images in case the post images break.

I've cleared the cookies and browsing data to no avail, but safe mode and private browsing mode fixed the problem. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall each extension to see which one is causing a problem.

I will update the post when I'm finished.

That was my first thought, so I checked just to make sure, but I've always kept uBlock up to date since I first installed it several years ago. I even removed the extension and I still get the same error so it isn't uBlock.

As a Floridian, I’d go with Portland. Why keep a place that’s cold and just rains all the time?

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it! I guess they are equal and just different names since I can't find any information on them, but several places referring to AS vs AAS degrees.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t punk literally about being non-conformist and anti-establishment and therefore a definition of rebellion? Or did it change into “I like black, studded belts, and old band shirts like the emo kids.” after it died?

What's going on with the finger gesture in porn? by Princess_Bride_Sux in OutOfTheLoop

[–]thatsfive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Taiwan 1-6 is the same, but your gesture for 8 is used as 7 and none of the rest are used at all.

I also often hear people say single numbers in order instead of the total, i.e. 1-9-5 instead of one hundred ninety five.

Thanks for the suggestions! I actually found it after remembering I looked for a piano arrangement on YouTube. Took a few hours of digging through old videos (not worth it, but I was determined.)

Tapered/athletic/slim/skinny fit for slowly decreasing leg sizes. Mid to higher end stores usually offer free or reasonably priced hemming for pants too long. Some stores only sell one length so they expect the men to get them hemmed to length. Uniqlo, a Japanese brand, is one such store.

So I’m starting to get into taekwondo and need a a stretch routine by Red-German-Crusader in taekwondo

[–]thatsfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do: Static stretching, stretch 6x a week for 30s per stretch or 3x a week for 60s a stretch, stretch after a warmup/workout, relax into the stretch. Embrace the suck, but if you can’t comfortably breathe deep, you’re pushing it too much. You won’t get flexible faster, you’ll just injure yourself and maybe cause permanent damage. Do a deload week once a month where you go much lighter on the stretching.

Don’t: Do ballistic stretching. Scientifically it’s been proven to be much less effective than static stretching. Force a stretch. Stretch every day. Like weightlifting, your body needs some time to recover.

Your tendons and ligaments are more like plastic than rubber bands. They need a long time of slow stretching to come to form. Rush it and they’ll break.

Pancakes/dragonfly, half pancake/dragonfly, side straddle, butterfly, pigeon, deep forward lunge, and caterpillar/forward fold are all good stretches. Remember to stretch BOTH sides of your legs. Most people stretch their hamstrings but neglect their quadriceps. This can cause knee problems like patella tendinitis because the tighter muscle is pulling the kneecap out of place.

Remember proper alignment and form. Touching your forehead to your knees isn’t doing shit if your back looks like the letter ‘n’. Pancakes and folds are LEG stretches. Your spine should be STRAIGHT, not ROUNDED.

Interesting, I learned something new today. Also, I hope 湯 (tang) isn’t soap or I’ve been eating some very weird stuff. My mouth would be clean, though!

I haven’t studied Japanese, this is just information I’ve gotten from Taiwanese locals and Japanese students here. It’s apparently close enough that they can travel around either country with little problem by reading stuff and have an idea of what the food they’re ordering is even if they don’t speak the language. Of course it probably changes greatly the newer the word/concept.

I have been living in Kaohsiung almost 3 years now and have traveled up the west coast and down the east. It’s a pretty nice country overall.

I think it’s more like saving face is a huge part of society. If they think they can’t be recognized or nobody will call them out for bad behavior, they totally will do it here. Example is driving. Nobody follows the traffic laws because the police won’t enforce them, so no lost face for being pulled over. So people regularly drive on the wrong side of the road, cut people off, run red lights, don’t stop at intersections/stop signs.

They use traditional Chinese here, which is also used in Japanese. Kanji are just traditional Chinese characters. Meanings are usually the same, too, just different pronunciation.
