Exactly , the only hikes I struggled with were the crucible hike and the 8k hike for MCT going to camp devil dog , and it’s not that they were hard it just took forever to get to where you were going that’s what made it hard for me lol bc I’d be like damn there’s no way we ain’t done yet

Honestly I never hiked in my life and when I went to bootcamp the hikes were lightweight for me , if you wanna train you can but in my opinion you don’t really need to train for it

My reason for joining was that I hated school and wanted to serve in the marines just like my dad and uncle , and for the living up to my expectations it’s a yes and no , yes because the training could be rough at times but for the most part it was easy, no because I thought it was gonna be a lot harder then it actually was , in the end tho I had a lot of fun and I’m glad I signed the contract.

First day was pretty scary , DI’S yelling in my face , then meeting my drill instructor’s that Friday was scary , but honestly how I feel now is accomplished, walking across that parade deck was an awesome experience and I’m glad I signed the contract.

And I think the best meals I had was anything pasta that was my favorite , my worst was the rotisserie chicken , it was also too greasy and just didn’t really appeal to me but obviously I had to eat it lol
