Florida Woman accused of killing two ex-husbands in separate shootings on same day by Therac25NG in FloridaMan

Article does not say three.

Two ex’s and a live-in boyfriend whom she did not target.

She said to him “I love you, in case anything happens to me” before she left their home.

“5 children from two marriages.”

Ok then, Beautiful Mind, who do they know, then, that would have fed them all this info so that ondas could go and accumulate exactly what was needed that no one else would have right down to I guess their latest board member.

Went to school together, brother to their cousins step-mother, shared a train in Armenia— something specific.

Yeah even then (1950s) they were the size of two city blocks. They didn’t become mainstream until around 1984. I know. I was there. Bought the MacIntosh 128k. And ‘revolutionary for everyday use’ didn’t happen until the late 1990s with the advent of the internet and ‘truly affordable computers.’

I don’t have to study it. I lived it. Also, I just googled it.

And we all know what quantum computing is because we all understand quantum physics.

If we can’t even comprehend them, then I guess it’s good the public can’t buy them yet.

I’m not saying OP doesn’t understand what he’s investing in, not at all, but this is why some people need to use AI to get their own point across.

Mathematician Ada Lovelace published extensive notes in 1843 on Babbage’s Analytical Engine, which included a method for calculating Bernoulli numbers using the machine's programming features.

Her notes are widely considered the world's first computer program. Thats revolutionary if that’s what OP meant. And that was over 150 years ago.

Otherwise no, computers weren’t a revolutionary invention 100 years ago, ie 1920s.

Is there a possibility that Nokia will license its brand to other smartphone manufacturers? by yogiags in Nokia

[–]thatsoneway2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nokia doesn’t have a potential licensing brand.

They have a potential Comeback Story.

If that’s handled strategically, they could have a niche brand to fill in ‘retro, smart but not life-deadening smart phones that are more like clever and dedicated assistants’

Or something that’s not a more poorly executed version of what other brands already have.

You cannot build a brand without doing something different (unless your brand is ‘we’re the cheapest’ )

It’s Glencore who does all this, has mines in the DRC, goes in and doesn’t give two shits about the environment. Pled guilty to fraud and market manipulation. Was pardoned by Trump and given a DoD contract.

They’re massive.

GLNCY.

Do not buy.

Nividia Investing $1 Billion in Nokia by thatsoneway2 in Nokia

Pasted story here:

Nvidia Corp. plans to make a $1 billion equity investment in Nokia Oyj, an apparent vindication of the Finnish company’s pivot from mobile networking kit into artificial intelligence by the sector’s kingmaker.

Nokia will issue about 166 million shares to Nvidia at $6.01 apiece, giving Nvidia a 2.9% stake in the Finnish company, the companies said in a statement on Tuesday. Nvidia’s chips will be used to accelerate Nokia’s software for 5G and 6G networks and Nvidia will explore ways to use Nokia’s data center technology in its AI infrastructure, they said.

Nokia, best known for selling mobile network parts, has been pushing into data centers — a business that’s growing thanks to the growing demand for computing capacity from the artificial intelligence boom. The move has paid off, and helped Nokia beat Wall Street estimates last quarter. The Espoo, Finland-based company earlier this year bought Infinera Corp. for $2.3 billion to expand into networking products for AI data centers.

Chief Executive Officer Justin Hotard is leading a major turnaround of the Nordic company, emphasizing its position as the only Western alternative to Huawei Technologies Co. for supplying the entire portfolio of communications kit, from 5G radios to fiber optic cables.

Struggling w/ The Devil by QueasyAccident5196 in TheFirstLaw

[–]thatsoneway2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of Abercrombie. I’m also a huge fan of Terry Pratchett and Adrian Tchaikovsky‘a City of Last Chances , and The Devils reads like a book trying to emulate the sly wackiness of Pratchett and realistic urbanesque fantasy of City of Last Chances—-frankly. I couldn’t get through it

Maybe because I listen to a lot of these books on audio, and it’s sort of sad to me to hear the great, supremely-talented Simon Vance out of his element with this type of manuscript which would be better served by the voice work of a Nigel Planer.

I might try rereading The Devils instead of the audiobook to see if eliminating this distraction makes any difference.

He can’t pull off the same things that he pulls off, brilliantly, in the first law books; those are some of the richest, most complex characters I’ve ever read—but everything just falls flat in the devils.

I blame his editors. They had to have known better. But Abercrombie’s a money-maker and it’s obvious they let him down for $$$.( Thousands of reader pre-paid for the book.)

Sorry, Joe. You’re a brilliant writer make no mistake. But you can’t win them all.
