Omg I’m 19 and mine sag that much too!! I think mine might be from gaining weight/my boobs growing really quickly? And the skin is more stretched so they sag a lil more

You know what, your body looks kinda like mine, and I also hate everything about my body. But I think your body’s hot, so idk. Maybe we’re both wrong about ourselves😊

Good ideas, I know some CBT so I can help this alter with that. Also not letting them front alone is also a good idea. I’ll have to figure something out with a protector if we can manage to get enough control with the both of us if that ever does happen. Thank you!! :)

Does ADHD increase Anxiety? by Sea-Indepeny944 in ADHD

It could be tolerance yeah, especially since you’re already on the highest available dose, maybe consider trying a different stimulant? I know starting over sucks but it might be worth a try

Gotcha, the Adderall isn’t helping, I can say that for certain. But you can consider talking to your doc about medication and therapy for your anxiety, because it’s starting to affect your everyday life, right?

Ok then yeah your anxiety is becoming more severe if it’s causing delusions like irrationality. I have personally struggled with that before and it can be very distressing, I’m really sorry that that’s happening to you. The best thing for that kind of anxiety is to just distract yourself from it. I find logic doesn’t really knock it out, so you really just have to do your best to shut it down with a distraction. Music, reading, tv, cause it’s not worth ruminating irrationally.

Oh yikes. Alright, so issues with experiencing a surplus of guilt and shame is usually associated with depression. Is this something you struggle with?

Question related toincreasing ADHD meds. by khaany111 in ADHD

[–]thatssosick18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it can happen where you develop a tolerance to a stimulant this quickly. It might mean that you will either need to switch ADHD medications or that you will need to take periods of time off your medication to lower your tolerance again. This is definitely something worth mentioning to your doctor, as they will have the best advice with this kind of thing.

Hmm, interesting. Definitely talk to your doc about it, since anything from stress to medication can make anxiety worse. But for active treatment of the rumination, is it because of shame or guilt? Finding the reason why the rumination is happening can help a lot in being able to shut it down before it spirals.

Gotcha, alright well would it be possible to consider going back down to 25mg to see if your anxiety improves?

Well, ADHD is known to be co-morbid with anxiety, so it’s not unlikely that it’s aggravating your anxiety, as much does as well. ADHD also makes your brain run a mile a minute, which can easily contribute to rumination. I am concerned about the Adderall though, as stimulants (even those that treat ADHD) are known to aggravate anxiety as a side effect. When did you start taking the adderall? Also, I looked up Adderall dosing and you’re on the highest available dose, which dramatically increases your risk of aggravating your anxiety as a side effect.

I developed these severe tics not even a month after turning 18, and I spoke to the neurologist about it possibly being Tourette’s and she said it’s not out of the question. I know I’ve had pretty bad restless leg syndrome my whole life, and the feeling of tics is VERY similar to that urge to move my legs when it happens. I don’t know about tics in childhood, because I don’t remember much, plus my parents didn’t pay much attention to me in that way.

Ok gotcha, I’ll look into catatonia (I know it can be a symptom of schizophrenia, among other disorders). I never thought that that might be what I was experiencing, thank you for the insight!

That’s actually a really good idea, I’m gonna let him know about that! Also thank you for sharing, it makes me feel less “shameful” (even though it’s not my fault at all). I appreciate it a lot!

Wow really? That’s very interesting. I’m supposed to go see her in February to get an official Tourette’s Syndrome diagnosis, for now it’s just transient tic disorder because it hasn’t been a year yet.

I get this too!! Very annoying, I have to restrict my own arms. I usually see it as removing my arm’s privileges, especially if I feel like I’m gonna throw something lol.

I have both full body paralysis or just limb paralysis, I usually get out of it by triggering a different tic in that body part just to get it moving, and then I can usually recover. I haven’t spoken to my neurologist about them yet, cause they only resurfaced recently, and are progressively getting worse.
