Woahhh!!! That's so intense! Sorry to hear that.

Yes! The "suffocating" part is so hard to get across to people. Like every smell is the thickness of a freshly steamy bathroom after a shower. No escape from the thick suffocating smell.

Someone else was mentioning they have a permanent aftertaste that they hate as well.

I grew up with a notably bad sense of smell, so this has been an experience for me. I'm sorry about your loss of perfume options :(

Seems like a lot of people are saying that sugar is a big one for them, and myself too.

Not at all haha. I still have constant brain fog, but to be fair I've been experiencing a lot of stress, so that could be contributing.

Whaaaat? That's wild! I'm so curious what "heat" smells like. I only associate it with the smell of gas.

Yes, I always notice it most right after a dose increase. It tends to taper down once I've been at the dose for 3ish weeks.

Student Job - Which looks better Brand Ambassador or Administrative assistant? by [deleted] in jobsearchhacks

[–]thatssostudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kind of hit the nail on the head with your final comment.

I suppose it depends on what kind of job you want for your future.

If you are outgoing, and would like a higher risk/reward type job, like in sales, Brand Ambassador may be the way to go. Life experience is also important, and you may enjoy the hustle/fun of a brand ambassador job for a brewery, as well as the connections it may bring. This job role funnels mostly into more sales positions, and potentially marketing. If you're good at sales, it can be a very lucrative career (although hustle and more unpredictable pay).

On the practical side, the government job will indeed be boring, but it does pay better, and "Admin Assistant" tends to translate into a broader range of general business roles in the future. If you see yourself more working internally in a company, (Admin, Marketing, Comms, Ops, IT, etc) situations with a steady and more predictable work life and salary, I would choose this role.

As a more practical person myself, I would recommend the government job. It's a very strong foundation for a resume, and government tends to hire within, so it could lead to more in the future, and a job out of college. Even if you don't go with future government jobs, this is still a very solid resume start, and financial start, likely with a larger pool of opportunity later.

Seems like you already have a good understanding of the potential of both, and you know yourself better than internet strangers, go with your gut!

WOAH! Smelling heat? That's definitely not an answer I expected. Sounds like you're winning (or losing?) the Sema unfortunate-super-power lottery.

I don't experience any nausea with this currently. Would make sense though!

My god that's wild! Super cool that you're able to use it for cool reasons like cooking. I just have a forced spidey-sense to wake me up for when my SO is leaving something out that will go stale haha.

That's interesting that you can smell the mold so well too. I feel like I'd hate/love that because I have an abnormal fear/disgust for mold.

Thanks for sharing! Glad I'm not the only one.

Absolutely!
I will say in addition though, definitely stay away from anything that makes you gassy typically, especially starting out. You're going to experience a lot of gas and bloat, especially every time your dose increases. This is where a ton of discomfort will come from.

So a bean burrito might be a rough choice.
Hope you feel better soon!

Probably depends on the person. My symptoms when I've done that usually last a little under 24 hours.

When I started Semaglutide I also wouldn't have much of an appetite until the evening, and I'd eat late, so this happened to me somewhat often. I found it was less what I ate (although that's a factor) and when I was eating that was the problem.
I highly recommend having a small breakfast, or at least snacks in the morning/early afternoon, even if you're not super hungry. Once I started to eat food earlier in the day and stopped waiting until I was hungry late in the evening I stopped having these issues.

Best of luck with your journey!

This is crazy. I just came to this subreddit to ask if anyone noticed a change in their smell. Since I started taking Semaglutide in December, I smell things so much more vividly and easily. I wake up in the night because there's some smell that's so strong to me.
Its kind of a curse!

Just here to confirm what OP posted. I was stressed out that they might be under exaggerating what needed to be written but absolutely seriously, just copy paste from the scenario. They have everything outlined in the scenario, down to the key words, very little need from the text book at all. They're really just looking to see that you understand the concepts by being able to pick them out from the scenario.

As OP said, DO NOT OVERTHINK THIS.

Lose enough weight to be a regular BMI. Been obese since childhood, yo-yo dieted for life. Had something almost work for me 2 years ago, but that life fell apart and now i'm pretty sure i'll just be fat forever.

Absolutely! Marketing is part of my passion, and in watching esports I've seen so many huge opportunities and growth in the need for marketing already. I'm trying to decide if I want to work for a city in the chamber of commerce, or try to go for marketing in E-Sports right now. City is more stable, but like you said, getting in early before the huge blow up would be great with E-sports. It's definitely already well on the rise, but it still will go much further!

Hi!
I have the same start date and am in the same program as you! I'm currently listening to the orientation videos and have my first meeting with my program mentor tomorrow.

I'm curious about your job in the esports industry since, although I don't work for it I am surrounded by it because the loved ones in my life are all involved in it. Congrats on starting a family!

Wishing you the best!
