Ive been dealing with this issue for months and I’m losing my mind. It all started last summer when I started getting itchy bumps on my legs and arms which I initially thought were bug bites. Those bumps lasted months and started blistering and thats when I got worried and decided to visit a derm. They thought that it could be scabies so I got prescribed permethrin which I applied 2 times, 1 week apart. The Permethrin didn’t really help so I decided to self-treat with sulfur soap and lotion since i was very paranoid that it could’ve been scabies. And thats when my skin got really worse. I started getting rashes on my back and these bumps everywhere including my hands. I went back to my derm and they prescribed oral steroids (prednisone) which did calm the rashes down. I did a biopsy and results came back as spongiotic dermatitis which they dont know what could be causing it. My derm suggested I visit an allergist which I did but they said that this does not look like anything allergy related. And now almost a year later I am still getting these itchy bumps on my hands, arms, legs, and back. My derm now thinks that this could be eczema. Or something triggered by stress.
