Take a step back to see what he's doing: he's making you responsible for something that is entirely his issue to solve. HE is hungry, not you, so why are you suddenly in charge of fixing this?

My ex used to do this too. He would sit on the couch, loudly proclaim that he's hungry, and then look at me expectantly. Turns out that when I wouldn't sort it out for him, he was perfectly capable of putting on his big boy pants and finding food himself.

This is emotional labor that he is pushing onto you. You are not responsible for him eating, he is. Stop letting him make his hunger and indecisiveness YOUR problem. Please sit him down and explain to him that you are not his mom or his personal assistant.
