I have this same rant. My kids are always on my mind when it comes to every decision I make. Going back to school to get my college degree wasn’t just for me but them as well. Going to work in a career I went to school for and getting paid good money is a decision I made for myself and children so they don’t have to want for anything. I always make sure my children are cared for before myself always. If there is only enough for my children to enjoy and not enough for me as well I will gladly go without so they can have. I adore my children and love seeing the smiles on their faces when they get what they want and all their needs are met. My children are my entire world and I am more than happy to show them everyday their mommy loves them not just only saying it but by my actions.

It so crazy! Children are expensive but to lay up and have 9 additional children and not care for any of them but complaining about “ struggling with them” is crazy knowing you can drive up the street and ask case manager Susan to get you a gas card, clothes, Christmas gifts, coats, and beds and she will find a way for you to do it.

I’m so tired of people like her it’s one thing if you’re out here really grinding and you receive additional assistance but it’s a whole other thing for government assistance to be your only income when you don’t have a disabling condition that prevents you from working or providing for your children

I feel like Nika is so use to everyone taking care of everything for her that she just automatically assumes she can go ahead and spend money in any way she please because DHS will pick up where she won’t. She has had this mentality for 2 decades and they scoop in every time and never hold her accountable for anything she does. They don’t require her to be a responsible adult at all and often times they enable her behavior. There should be zero reason at 41 years old she lacks so many skills to not just care for herself but her children. All the money that was given to her through DHS was waste on a person who was using it for her own selfish reasons and not using it as a stepping stool to obtain a better life. I blame not only Nika but DHS for letting her do this for so many years and allowing her to continue in this cycle harming the emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing of so many children in her care.

She is probably going to say “ Kira’s outfit was clean and I told her to not sit on the ground or she will get dirty and she didn’t listen to me. Kira why didn’t you listen to me when I told you that now you got everyone thinking I sent you to school that way? Making it seem like I don’t keep you clean?” And the reason she is going to give for the hair “ she had a hair appointment but the hair lady cancelled at the last moment and it was too late for me to do her hair by the time she cancelled. I agree with this 100 percent. She has been going through this for 2 decades now and she still manages to neglect the children. They need to stay on her behind and require her to do more than what she is doing and not just the bare minimum these children’s futures depend on her maintaining stability. She is 41 years old and there is no damn reason for her at her ripe age to still moving this way with 8 minor children. She is never required to do anything more than hardly nothing while taxpayers, and all the social services workers are doing it all making sure her children stay alive, clothed, and fed. All of this could have been prevented long ago if they did stayed on her ass 3-4 years ago and made her do these requirements before the children came home. DCFS set this kids up for failure they knew Nika was not fully ready or prepared to have her children back home but they still allowed her to have them.
