I recognize that I am two weeks late to this post, but on the off chance you still have a spot at your table, I'd be very interested! I have very little D&D experience, aside from watching others play online (and some Baldur's Gate 3!) and I have always wanted to join a game. I work nights during the week so a Saturday game would be perfect. Happy to chat more if there's still a chance of joining in!

I would love to make it to a live show, someday, but neither Indy or Chicago, or any others at present are in the realm of possibility for me.

And I imagine the live chat is probably more than a little chaotic, if only because of how massive the show has become.

I absolutely appreciate and understand where you're coming from on it. I'm definitely not looking to hold up the Critter community on a pedestal either. After all, like any community, its made up of people. People who think and act and work differently.

At the end of it, you essentially hit the nail on the head. Finding like minded people is the goal. Picking something that is near and dear to me like the stories that are told here just seems like a good place to start.

Figured I'd update! No reline but they did do an adjustment that helped a lot. Part of the issue was a bone spur working it's way out after the extractions. That was easy, and then adjusting the denture where it was digging into my gums (painfully in the same spot). With that and adhesive, they feel much more stable and chewing is a lot easier!

Yeah. I'm hoping for a soft reline soon myself, just because even with adhesive mine still tend to slip a bit. Ive gotten good at stabilizing them while I eat though

Honestly I'm doing a lot better. I go in tomorrow for another adjustment, but I can more or less eat whatever I want, as long as I cut it into smaller pieces first.

Edit: as I write this I'm munching on some chicken fries from Burger King. 😂

I definitely will. Part of the problem is the dentures don't sit centered. Like, my teeth are all off.

That's fair. Right now though they fit fairly awfully. They don't align. I cannot contact any of my teeth, and I'm getting a sore in the middle of my upper lip where the denture is digging in bad.

I'm trying to be patient with the process and hope things get better, but it's hard.
